Werdum wants to be in the same card as McGregor. So there is a good chance he is going to fight on that card as co main event. Who should his opponent be?

Werdum vs Fedor II would make this the biggest PPV of all time.

Werdum vs Cain II is most likely, followed by the winner of Arlovski/Mir.

Cain is the king of rematches. I have a (bad) feeling it will be him again.

If Arlovski runs through Mir then it should be him. Cain has held up this division for too long. I would rather see Stipe or JDS fight Werdum as well. Hell, I would much rather see Mir (if he beats AA) get Werdum instead of Cain.

Even if AA wins, he doesn't have a enough time to train for Dec 12 card.

If he ko's Mir in the first and takes limited damage, then I think three months is plenty of time. We have healthy contenders, lets get this division rolling. No vacations for Werdum and no undeserved rematch for Cain.

He's a big deal to fans who have been fans longer than Brock Lesnar hit the scene. Rogan said on his fight companion podcast this past weekend when the Fedor subject was broached that he should fight Werdum right off the bat. When Brian Callen asked him why; "Because he's Fedor, give him what he wants."

Also Rogan accedidentally leaked that JDS is gonna be figting Overeem. So its either Cain, or Fedor skipping to the front of the line IMO

Pretty much my feelings. Sucks if AA has to rush into the next fight, but I say strike while the iron is hot. He shouldn't have to beat Mir for his shot anyway, but frankly, whoever wins between AA and Mir is the most fun contender for my money.

Needless to say, JDS, Cain and Stipe would be favored over both Mir and AA, but we're going to be guaranteed one written-off legend on a winning streak. That doesn't come around too often, so make the most of it.

Can I just say how bizarre it is that we're talking about Arlovski/Mir as a legitimate number 1 contender match...in 2015? Even six months ago that would have sounded absurd.
