Okay. I'm not the one using aura as an argument. Fedor had an aura stepping into all the fights he lost and it didn't save him. Anderson still has an aura at 44 and it's not helping him. Aura means fuck all when it comes to who is going to win a fight. Daniel would still dump any version of Fedor on his head whenever he decided to and pound him out, his rudimentary armbar that submitted a bunch of outmatched, basic wrestlers from the 90s that had no clue about submission defense wouldn't save him.

There's no nuance to your analysis. Everyone's circumstance is different. Fedor's prime was 2003 - 2005. I'd say he was out of his prime in the Rogers / Arlovski fights even though he won both of them. His reaction speed and timing already fell by then. He became super religious and just started throwing haymakers. He started fighting MMA in 2000. Cormier started in 2009.

Fedor has a bigger legacy but DC is the better fighter, imo.

DC is exactly the kind of guy who breaks a dude like Crocop. He's got the chin and power of a Mark Hunt lite, who would walk through LHKs and smother the hell out of him with grappling.

With that said, CC had amazing TDD and could move and strike amazingly well, and with power.

One day when we get a time machine, we'll be able to see this crazy hypothetical matches.

DC beats any version of Fedor especially the one now lmao. People overrated Fedor, he hasn't even fought in the UFC while he had a lot of time and was in his prime. You can't be considered the GOAT if you haven't fought in the top league. Sorry Fedor fans it is what it is.... Hes a great HW

DC has a ways to go to crack the top 5, let alone be the GOAT.

Go to UFC in his prime and fight who? Arlovski and Tim Sylvia? He beat both of them. Randy Couture would have been sent to an early death.

DC would beat Fedor but Fedor achieved quite a bit in his career. Fedor just looked bad because his competition from Pride didn't excel in the UFC. It used to be oh these guys were Pride guys so they will dominate but the truth was that the skill level wasn't too far. Nog did beat big Tim for the belt but it was after Couture won the belt and left to find a Fedor fight. It broke my heart to see Nog getting slayed by pillow fisted Mir right after that win.
Couture or Brock fight never materialized. Even Mir and Carwin would have been fun fights. I sort of blame Fedor's management; they were stubborn with that M1 thing since they had Oligarch backing and ten years down the line M1 became a useless feeder league for the UFC. 30 million at that time was a lot of money for MMA to buy useless M1 and have Fedor fight for them

Werdum speaks the truth. Fedor has declined, but DC over 10 years has become a fat blob and he has never dominated like Fedor did.

It's very possible for 2019 NYE

Only 15 years too late, and Barnett is the only one to blame for that.

Fedor DID fight in the top league. You are just too much of a noob to understand what you talk about
PRIDE at the time was bigger than the UFC and their HW division was FAR better.
PRIDE WAS the top league. Good God, the fact that I have to explain this to you already shows how unqualified you are to be even voicing an opinion on the matter.
Not to mention that Fedor DID beat the top UFC guys from that era: 3-0
Arlovski, Sylvia, Mir. The only other one worth mentioning, Couture, would have been an easy win.

Fedor managed to hold his title against ALL the major fighters of his generation with the exception of Couture and Barnett, two fights he did pursue, but didnt happen, beyond his control. Cain defeated his main rival in JDS,but he could not remain active enough to achieve greatness. JDS lost to his main rival and was obviously not the same from the beatings he took. Daniel Cormier moved down to LHW before he could really reach the heights neccesary to challenge Fedor's GOD CROWN. Stipe could only beat up the battered leftovers. We currently dont have an arena were Fedor can be surpassed. He fought way more often than would even be allowable under unified rules, and he fought in a more competitive era.
