...for the first time at 40.
Is the profession legit or quackery of the highest order?
What say you?
I went to one 3 times a week for 8 months
It's not a cure all but it is refreshing as fuck and a good one can help get your body back in alignment. You have to do additional work/stretching too or it will be for nothing
You tell us.
Wouldn’t this question have been better BEFORE you went to a chiropractor?
I want your opinion first, ya big palooka.
No such thing as quackery. Even thinking something can benefit you can benefit you.
like pretending to be a feminist to get laid?
Never been..what was your experience?
I went once and all the sudden i passed out and woke up with my pants unzipped.
I felt like my explanation of my ailments lead the doctor in her treatment, except I wasn't truthful and she kept changing her reasons everytime I would change my description of how I felt.
doss that make sense?
You probably enjoyed it subconsciously. I lost a kidney.
You being dishonest to confuse her would only complicate matters. I'm quasi-medically agnostic though. Would you loe to your doctor? Not saying chiros are doctors though.
I had bad sciatica to the point that I had trouble sleeping. Started going to one regularly about two years ago and the pain has never returned. I buy into it and if it’s placebo I’ll still take it.
Going to the chiropractor hurts so good. It helps me every time I go.
Similar story for me. All this guy does is crack a bunch of stuff that I can't crack on my own. Nothing crazy....except that he's an anti-vax dude. I just ignore that entirely.
A local chiropractor got into trouble many years ago because he supposedly took X-rays of a high school football player but instead used some X-rays he had on file to show a crooked spine. The boys father was a radiologist who exposed the con. I know people who go to chiroprators every week and others that go a couple of times a year.
Yeah, mine does all kinds of cool shit. Hooks me up to electro pulse for my back and shoulders. A lot of alternative medicine people are into that anti vax stuff though, Luckily, my chiro is a personal friend and fairly conservative. We usually talk about sports in between pops.
A chiropractor adjusted my hip and since that session I have lost feeling on the outside of my thigh in a 2” wide strip. That was over 3 years ago. I’m scheduled for an mri to have it looked at, so hoping the real doctors can fix me.
Seems like a damn lot! 3 times a week for 8 months wow! What was your specific problem?
I agree highly with the second part. Not a cure all but I think it does help you get to where you need to be faster.
Also can't agree more with the stretches and exercises. It will help you out even more. I do mine daily to strengthen my core and stay loose.
So you’re saying that if I ran up and gave you a charley horse that you would just stare blankly at me, then proceed to kick my ass?
