Hi guys. Here is Part 9 of my 2015 unbeaten unsigned prospects - The Welterweight Division! With this, it brings the 2015 edition to an end with a total of 298 prospects! I will post in a reply under this topic some details of the entire lists. Thanks to everyone that has read them, I hope you have enjoyed reading about the fighters.

A quick reminder of the rules as always:

1) They must be undefeated!
2) They must NOT be signed to any of the three largest promotions (UFC, Bellator & WSOF)
3) They must have fought at least once in 2014
4) They must have had at least 3 professional fights


Today is the time for the Welterweight division. This is a solid division and I had to leave some solid prospects out of the top 35. Those just missed out on the top 35 include Alexander Makovoz (6-0), Craig Turner (6-0), Juscelino Caetano (5-0), Dae Ryeong Kim (5-0), Themba Gorimbo (4-0), Bruno Lopes (4-0), Vladislav Kanchev (4-0), Bruno Murata (6-0), Ackson Junior (5-0), Emil Rozewski (5-0) and many many more!

Guys ineligible due to inactivity included Dmitriy Gozha (8-0), Tolly Plested (8-0), Vitor Pinto (7-0), Jason Cardillo (6-0), Rob Wood (6-0), Rocky Biggs (5-0), Ashley Beaumont (4-0), Arturs Cernavskis (4-0), Damian Klosek (4-0) & Mariusz Ksiazkiewicz (4-0).

As always I'd be interested to hear everyone's opinions on this list, both good and bad!. Also if anyone can suggest fighters that I missed out or any ages of the fighters which I couldn't find it would be appreciated.

Thanks :). Yes i think when they changed the forum over it messed some of the first few posts up (i see some of the 1-15 text has completely dissappeared). I've got it all saved in a word document, so will try correct them all at some point. Towards the end of the year i will post a detailed update for the whole list - how they are doing 2 years later, and how my rankings are looking now etc.

Edit - looking back the welterweight list looks pretty successful with 6 of the top 10 now foghting fot UFC. And guys like Gahadza & Piraev are still good prospects. Shame Scope has been inactive - not sure if he's been injured or has given up on MMA, but its been a couple of years and no sign of a return.

Alot has changed since your last rankings so you have to do lots to research :D Top prospects like Bibulatov, Askhabov and Yan werent in your previous rankings but im curious for how you will rank them.
 
I'm very high on both the Askhabov brothers. I know the bigger one has lost a couple of times so is ineligible, but the smaller one will be very high on the list (if he is still unsigned).
 
Keep up the solid work man, I know how much work it is to post these stats and things in a comprehensible format. The information is out there but takes time to sort through, and format etc. I know because I've made a few threads of the like though not nearly as in depth and detailed as you have so thank you for putting the time and energy into them and I look forward to future statistics.
 
Great list. Wonder what there records are nearly two years after this original post.
 
Cheers. I've got their updated records all on an excel document. I'm releasing my 2017 prospect lists in January so probably in December i'll create a thread with updates of the 2015 version. Currently 43 guys were signed by UFC, 14 by Bellator & 6 by WSOF, so pretty decent results.


This thread for example (Welterweights) has been pretty successful. Unfortunately my #1 pick Ryan Scope hasn't fought in the past 2 years due to injuries, but elsewhere 6 of my top 10 have been signed by UFC (Till, Breese, Dalby, Webb, Silva & Graves).
