Let's talk about and post gifs/links to the weirdest tap out moments we can remember. They happen every now and then, someone doesn't tap out properly, maybe the taps are too light or too few and fighter A thinks he won, only to have fighter B immediately continue fighting once he loosens his grip because the referee didn't count it as a tap yet.
I think there are a few categories of this:
1. The unseen: legitimately wanting to tap out but the ref doesn't see it and the submission goes too far
2. The second wind: tapping out so lightly/with few taps that the other fighter thinks he won but the ref never stopped the fight, causing the "winner" to lose a good position. Or the ref believing that the fighter never tapped after stopping the fight. See this video
3. The accident: tapping out accidentally with taps too similar to those of "I want to tap out" and losing the fight because the ref misread it.
4. Immobilized: not being able to tap out because of awkward hand positions
5. Ref thinking the other guy has passed out and stops the fight prematurely. See this post
6. The unexplicable: tap out for no apparent reason, later to be explained by the fighter. See this post
I hope some of you remember some situations that fit those categories, I remember not too long ago seeing in the UFC or in the Ultimate Fighter someone (in my opinion) tapping out, having the opponent loosen his grip only to find out the fight continues because the ref didn't stop it.
