Alright check this out, when you are faced with a confrontation which could lead to physical violence, I get this weird sensation, like the blood from my body just draining into my feet, making my legs heavy, and everything else feel weak. What the hell is this? And is there any way to conquer it?

It's your fight or flight response kicking in. Most people have it to varying degrees.

LOL, fight or flight...........sounds like you are in the flight category.

but honestly, you can learn to control that and actually use it to your advantage. Ever wonder why someone gasses out after like 1 minute of fighting when they have been training for along time for 3 five minute rounds? Well its the extra bust of adrenaline that your body naturally pumps into your system when confronted with a hostility. Problem is it only last a little while because it is pumped in there to give you the extra strength to get the fvck away from the hostility.

Yeah, I don't deal with confrontation well.

Not to say I can't fight, because I can. But I just don't like confrontation.
Hopefully I can figure out how to use it.

eh, that's not too bad. I mean, it'll prevent you from getting all uppity and in the other guy's face. it'll calm things down more. And your chances of getting stabbed go down, too.

Yeah, I guess so. Never thought of it that way.
I'm by no means a street fighter.

could be a combination of nerves and the rigors of sparring. it's an exhausting exercise that takes a while to become accustomed to.

I get that same sensation every time my wife asks me to do chores around the house! I overcome it by turning up the volume on the TV......

It's just adrenaline pumping. I used to have a bad response when my adrenaline kicked in. The only way that I was able to overcome it was to talk to myself in the midst of it and telling myself that it was just my body responding to adrenaline. After a while, I would try to get psyched up, trying to be conscious of how I was feeling when it hit and it worked. Now, I am really relaxed when the adrenaline hits and I can control myself.

You can simulate the response if you spar and get the same feeling, or if you have a really vivid imagination and can put your mind in certain scenarios. I have a very vivid imagination and can call these emotions and reactions on cue generally. The next step would be putting it into action in a real (albeit controlled) setting.
