I feel the same as you and Spacelord13. I am an atheist, so I don't rely on supernatural feelings, but it does seem like the universe is aligning for Iaquinta.

He had beef with the UFC. He is scheduled to fight in his hometown of NYC. Conor destroys a bus, and suddenly he is fighting for a title shot. It seems like everything is working towards Al Iaquinta being "Cinderella" and not Khabib being a mighty caliphate conqueror.

Beating Tony would have been a crowning achievement for Khabib, but the universe removed that possibility. Why? Obviously random sequence of unfortunate events. But still, there is something weird in the air.
