How would you rank them?

Someone on here recently mentioned that if Jones moves up to HW then the LHW division would be really depleted. However, I just don't see it. Especially with things like Brendan Schaub dropping down and the return of Rampage (Bellator lawsuit be damned).

Anyway, really curious to see how folks would rank them and what their justifications would be :)

Stacked:
LW
WW
FW
MW

Shallow:
FLW
HW
LHW
WBW

somewhere in the middle:
BW - not shallow, but not particularly stacked
WSW - new division, can't judge yet

LW, WW, FW are the best.

HW is the worst even compared to the Woman's division's

Lightweight
Welterweight
Featherweight
Middleweight
Light Heavyweight
Flyweight
Women's Strawweight
Bantamweight
Women's Bantamweight
Heavyweight

Lightweight
Welterweight

Light heavyweight
Heavyweight
Bantamweight
Flyweight
Womens strawweight
Womens bantamweight

As far as "top tier" / elite fighters go, middleweight has the most-including Anderson with Chris,vitor,Jacare, Mousasi, Machida and Luke....Lw and welter are the deepest with overall fighters..

This but I would put Heavyweight before Womens Bantamweight.

i've never seen a division worse than today's ufc hw.

People still saying heavyweight is the weakest division are wrong. It's actually a pretty fun division right now and LHW and FLW are the weakest without a doubt

Rampage? Seriously? He's a title contender? What was his last quality win? Even Rampage himself didn't think he beat Machida. Rampage coming back adds nothing to the LHW division except name recognition.

I was just putting Rampage in there as someone who adds a little more depth to the division. I agree that he's not exactly a title contender or anything. I've always liked him more for his personality than what he can actually do in the octagon anyway.

Lw is not more stacked than Ww.

Weakest probably 125

Agreed about the flyweights. It just seems like there's Mighty Mouse and there there's everyone else.

A bit surprised the welterweights are ranking so high in this. With things like Henridcks being ranked so high and being such a sloppy fighter (which even he admits). Then again that has more to do with UFC's messed up and illogical ranking system rather than a reflection of the overall division.

Pretty fun division if you are into fat old guys with no chins or cardio. It's the division that requires the least amount of actual MMA skill. Combine that with how shallow it is, easy choice for least stacked division in the UFC.

LW has RDA, Pettis, Khabib...
FW has Aldo, Frankie, Chad...

Everything else comes after those two.

FW/LW = #1 and #2
WW = #3
MW = #4
BW = #5
FLW = #6
LHW = #7
WSW = #8
HW = #9
WBW = #10

I noticed you didn't mention Conor lol. That's alright I wouldn't have mentioned him either. Still, kind of surprised UFC is hot shotting him to fight Aldo, but with Frankie and Chad there you can see why. UFC wants that big money fight true rankings be damned!

"Stacked" being the keyword instead of "deep"

MW
LHW
WW
LW
HW
FW
BW
FLW

Ronda vs the world

LW has RDA, Pettis, Khabib...
FW has Aldo, Frankie, Chad...

Everything else comes after those two.

Fw has Aldo,Chad,McGregor

fixed,
Mw-Chris-belfort-machida-rockhold-jacare-mousasi-anderson
Mw owns the most elite fighters

LHW and WBW have a solid group of elite fighters but looking past the top 7 or so shows they are not 'stacked' in terms of the talent below that.

FLW and WSW have fewer established 'elite' fighters but they're newer divisions with more young prospects which is a positive.

HW is the very worst, half of the top 15 are on the verge of retirement and the closest things they have to prospects are Todd Duffee and Jared Rosholt.
