Weidman vs Belfort

Definitely a dangerous fight for Chris,,but would solidify his status....Just glad to see Belfort hungry and wanting a fight soon...Hope he gets a fun opponent next...

dangerous for weidman if he doesnt fight anderson first

itll just be another contender off the immediate list

haha so you admit Belfort is a threat to his Weidman's 'title run'? if he is the legit number 1 contender he should be confident against anyone

btw, contenders aren't in a position to pick fights imo

Didn't Weidman already ducked this fight? He was called by Vitor a long time ago and got his tails behind his legs in a second

man, the belief you guys have in this Chris Weidman is amazing

one thing you guys have to consider, is the way the fighter wins his fights weights into Dana's decision to give him a title shot earlier or later

You guys should stop mentioning his win against Demian Maia... It was not one bit impressive, it was the worst showing of Maia's career, they both got exhausted in the early minutes of the fight, it was a ridiculous showing from both fighters, but Weidman has at least a good reason for being so unfit, so he gets a pass...

However, that doesn't mean he really has beaten a strong opponent in that situation, maybe if he'd fight Maia again, it would be a good fight now, but in that situation, it wasn't a big plus for Weidman and it was a big knock to Maia.

I didn't watched Weidman fight against Mu

weidman is the absolute worst match up style-wise for belfort - every weakness belfort possess are the exact things at which weidman excels

Absolutely. Wideman would easily take Belfort down and once on the ground, Weidman would be all over Belfort and break his spirit.

The opposite is also true. Vitor's ground game against Jones and Johnson looked MUCH improved since the days he fought Randy and Henderson. Don't let the munoz fight confuse you, he was a wrestler and wrestlers aren't typically very good at defending or attacking from the bottom.
