Weidman and Aldo rematches asap

Now Im just looking for every ones thoughts, with how things have been with dominate champions do both Aldo and Weidman get immediate rematches following their loss? My opinion is yes but Dana is crazy what do you all think? and do you think it will be on the same card again?
 
Wouldn't cry if Aldo got one, don't see him winning though.

Weidman is a no. He could do a Jacare fight for a title fight though.

Aldo deserves one due to being top 5 all time, especially with BS like Cain and Ronda. Honestly though, shunning Edgar is equally bad. Its a no win. The most ridiculous thing would be if Conor went to LW though.
 
If Dana justifies Ronda getting a rematch I don't see why not for Aldo and Weidman.
 
The majority of the championship rematches are due to close fights, or strange circumstances. Ronda is another story

Both championship fights weren't strange but rather one sided beat downs. Id rather see Yoel and Frankie challenge for the titles.
 
Aldo, sure. He was one of those legit, all time great, long term, GOAT champions so I think he deserves it. Weidman, hell no.
 
Weidman looked clueless and needs to go back to the drawing board on some things...especially how to fight off his back.

Those scares on Weidman's face need to heel 1000% of they'll keep splitting. Let Rockhold fght Romero and go from there.
 
Neither of them have done enough to earn an instant rematch.
It's not like either of them regularly defeated challengers, or were undefeated fighting for Zuffa, or anything like that.
They don't have the resume that a Cain Velasquez has, which is why they won't get a rematch and Cain gets one.

Aldo doesnt have the resumé Cain has? Ok.
 
Aldo no but that is more because of how awesome Edgar has looked and that based on record probably should have got the shot before Conner.

Weidman, I think he would benefit from a top contender match first. He didn't look right on the way out last night. Think Longo Serra are great coaches for him, but probably something to Rockholds jabroni jab before the fight. He would really benefit from some better talent around him in training. I know there is a Renzo relationship with the guys at Tri-star, maybe working with them some. In hindsight I think Chris underestimated Rockhold. Actually maybe a better way to put it was he over estimated how good he is.
 
I think immediate rematches for flash ko's or close, questionable or flukish wins are fine, but when a fighter is manhandled and we see their skill on display for a few rounds against a clearly better challenger, I don't think they should get an immediate rematch. Chris should not get an immediate rematch, nor should Ronda. Aldo should though.

Chris? No. And I'm a big Weidman fan too.
 
But then again, I wanna see Frankie fight Conor next so badly. Stuck between a rock and a hard place on this one.

No on both Romero deserves a shot first.

Aldo would if he hasn't had issue of backing out of fights so much and you can't really say that was a close fight. Not sure Conor fights again at that weight as he is likely after a second belt. But regardless Aldo should have to beat 1 guy he has never fought before like maybe max Halloway before he gets another shot.

Respect to Aldo but his days may be numbered.
 
Man,I'm not a fan of the idea of immediate rematches for Weidman and I say this as his fan,but fuckin hell,if everybody who got KTFO or freakin submitted get one,he should get too
 
Aldo couldn't take a single clean left-hand, what makes you think that Conor isn't going to land several more over the course of 4 rounds?....it's not like Aldo possesses even close to the same KO power in his shots.....he is tailor made for Conor's style. Frankie beats him though.
