  • Grass fed free range cuts of beef (top strip loin, bottom strip loin, tenderloin)
  • Nitrite free bacon. Love this stuff.
  • Eggs. Sometime the Omega-3 brand, sometimes organic free range. I go through over 2 dozen a week myself, so buying those double-18 packs at Costco rocks.
  • Various organic fruits. Usually apples, strawberries (when I can find them), oranges, bananas and always, always avocados.
  • Various organic veggies. Broccoli, spinach, mixed greens, cauliflower, cucumbers, red peppers, purple onion
  • Occasional tubers and gourds like spaghetti squash and yams.
This is pretty much the weekly list of fresh stuff; stuff like oils, nuts, and frozen things I buy in bulk, so it lasts a while.

Not paleo but more like cheap traditional foods that I consider healthy:

Primary group: The "meat & potatos"
-Whole milk
-Eggs
-Butter
-Extra virgin olive oil
-Meat and fish (Don't diss the fatty cuts or organs, cheap and good)
-Kale/cabbage/cauliflower/broccoli
-Tubers (turnips, carrot, beets, potatos, onions...)

Secondary group
-Nuts & seeds
-Spinach
-Berries
-Fruits
-Honey

The good thing in this kind of eating is that the primary foods are cheap, readily availible and healthy. If you want to save some more, buy your meat straight from the farmer as with your veggs. The secondary group has foods that you don't eat large quantities but that are healthy. Buy A large freezer. It's your best friend.

I really don't label my diet but I eat sort of paleo
the grocery store is a block away so I go there atleast every other day

chicken breasts - $1.99/lb
london broil - sometimes on sale for like $2.49/lb
cat fish "nuggets"(chunks of cat fish) - $2.99/lb (cat fish is freaking dope! the fat is awesome)
eggs (I eat a 4 egg omelet like every other day) - usually 18 count(regular medium eggs)
Brocolli, Spinach, Kale, Cabbage, Cauliflower, onion, white button mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, tomatoes
Apples, bananas, berries when on sale(blueberries, strawberries)
Greek Yogurt (chobani on sale for $0.99/small little container)
skim milk (I just can't bring myself to drink milk with fat. I've conditioned myself to believe that it's wrong haha)
non-fat cottage cheese with pineapple - $1.99(16 oz store brand)
raw almonds (on sale for like $4/lb)
extra virgin olive oil
coffee, green tea, herbal tea

this is pretty much how I eat and I don't know if it's truly pale but I don't eat any carbs outside of this stuff on the list

I'm on a real tight budget right now (like $300 a month for food) but soon i'll have the ability to spend more on food and then I really want to go as organic and grass fed as possible. Organic fruits and vegetables and grass fed beef and chicken. I can't wait

canned alaska salmon

with blue cheese mashed into it

and a drip of egg mayo to hold it all together

mash in diced onion and garlic for bonus points

and serve with rosemary bread
