Weed Or Booze?

He is.Regular smokers dont make it this far down sherdog usually,stoned ones are even rarer.
But if you cant use your brain ask a doctor they no way better than any of us.
But you no the answer.
 
Weed is better, i've seen many fighters smoke, but they rarely drink. if they drink, it usally wine.
 
weed fucks up your lungs. alcohol fucks up your body. you drink a lot more alcohol to get wrecked than the amount of weed you'd smoke. for some people its possible to train stoned and do well. nobody in the world trains better when they have been drinking.

Both are bad. But weed is probably less worse. Dont do either.
 
There is a time and place for everything. If you are trying to be a competetive fighter, then don't drink or smoke during the time that you are training hard for a fight. Otherwise, go ahead and smoke when you are just chilling.
 
ok the downfalls of weed are the infamous munchies.. the downfall of alcohol is hundreds of empty calories and the possibility of a late night pizza. what is worse health wise? alcohol.

that being said, if you do drink... dont order any late night food and i would recommend bourbon and diet coke... a very healthy alternative.
 
Maybe you should try eat weed(brownies perhaps?) not that much if any damage to your lungs
 
If your serious about MMA avoid both

I wouldn't think a beer here or there is going to kill you (I don't drink personally)
 
weed isnt really that bad for your lungs, cause you dont really smoke that much.

im assuming we are talking about the occasional toke, not a daily gram-a-day habit or whatever. the bad thing about weed is it makes you lazy

alcohol is bad cause its bajillions of calories, and it makes you feel like shit the next day, and also it dehydtates you, and depelets vitamins etc. also the alcohol lifesyle will have you up late at night and partying. whereas weed can just be at home watching tv or whatever.


so i think weed is much better than alcohol for atheletes.

although either in moderation isnt that big a deal imo.
 
I don't do either but I train with a guy that smokes weed (daily) and he doesn't gas out or anything. Maybe he'd be a real beast if he didn't.
 
Someone posted BAS RUTTENS comment on the subject before this got moved and it summed it up perfectlly.
If you want to fight no and not just because its in your piss for 90 days plus and you would get banned.
If you train and dont fight alot of people do smoke weed you just need to no where your at in life and know where you want to go.
 
I drink 1 to 2 beers maybe once every 2 weeks. Sometimes I go longer. Like this summer I went from April until August without drinking a single drop of alchohol.
 
Being someone that does smoke weed here and there , I would much rather have a smoke after a long day at work and then the gym, rather than having a few beers. Theeffects of drinking IMO are much worse due to the calorie intake and the way i feel after being hungover.

Not saying that pot is good for you,but everything taken in moderation is the way i look at it.

agreed hence my 2 beer limit i impose on myself.
 
You can go to the gym higher than balls... you can't go to the gym drunk... unless you're Sakuraba. I would say a 500$ vaporizer for weed, and a better attitude towards drinking less wouldn't slow down training.
