About time, now overturn any bans that are currently in place and give guys back their hard fought for money.

There are no USADA bans for weed currently in place. In fact, only three fighters have tested positive under USADA in the entire 5 years of the program.



Just a note on this. This is not just USADA doing this, it was added to the WADA code for 2021. There is a new category for "substances of abuse" and the maximum penalty is 3 months if not used for performance reasons.

It should be added, that it can stilll be a doping violation if the cannabis is used for things such as pain relief or anxiety relief as they would be considered performance enhancing.


So its not a blanket "no longer a violation".. its no longer a violation as long as not used for performance.

This is only for when UFC is their own regulating body, so it's only for the fights at Fight Island. All other fights in US are still under athletic commissions and they haven't changed their rule set yet. This is just for USADA and UFC to lobby for them to make the changes so they have a uniformed rule set regarding marijuana.

It does have a lot of health benefits. Most people are just used to the stigma so they just assume it's all bullshit because they fed into the lies over the past few decades. They got programmed to think it's dumb and bad. But science is proving all that wrong. Plus there's more to it than just "weed". There's also CBD - non psychoactive and also hemp. Labs are now using many forms of thc, cbd, etc from "weed" and making medication from it. So yes, "weed" does cure a lot of stuff. Science has proved that and will continue to prove it.
