I have been talking to my classmates regarding the wear and tear you suffer in various martial arts and it got me wondering. What is the wear and tear of long term boxing/kickboxing and judo?

What I mean is, Ronda has been training and competing in judo for years. I am curious to know what kind of injuries a high level judoka sustains and how does it impede a persons performance and mobility?

Same with Holly, her being a kickboxer turned boxer or vice versa. What kind of physical wear and tear does striking at that level bring to the individual and who is more unscathed from their individual sport now that they are both in to the MMA?

There's some of the wear from holly's boxing. She avenged that loss though.

You won't find a doctor on the face of this earth who will support fighting they will endorse training for the heath but unless they are corrupt idiots they will not support somebody in their decision to fight. They call it competing in martial arts sometimes to sugar coat it but its fighting not competing even with full head gear on. In a training camp a fighter can have a hard sparring session once a week which is a fight at 100 % because when they actually fight their opponent will not agree to go 50 % so fighting 3 times a year with a 2 to 3 month training camp doesn't common sense tell you your answer ?

Holly has had over 50 fights MMA/boxing/kickboxing. That would take it's toll on anyone

Rondas ego has taken more wear and tear than either's body.

That's true if you are training in a reckless manner. But I think she trains smart and doesn't take crazy risks in training.

Ronda says she had bad knees and problems with her hands wrists from constantly grabbing people by the gi and launching them to the stratosphere. Im sure Holly has her share of injuries as well. In the end it dont matter really, look how many injuries Weidman had coming into becoming a champion...everybodys got something/
