Scoped M1A, hope that it's long range enough for your criteria:

short range:
Quality 1911 (or perhaps a Glock) with tactical light. I don't like shotguns. This picture is essentially identical to my nightstand gun:

melee:
A well made katana, not some "decorative" piece but something designed to be used. I have one hanging on my wall.

cutting edge:
Sog Seal 2000. Not the greatest knife ever but it serves it's purpose well at a reasonable price:

protection:
This is really hard to say. Is it for daily wear or a combat situation? I guess whatever would suit my purposes at the time from a good vendor like bulletproofme.com

explosive:
don't know anything about explosives or anything else illegal.

A little bit of both. What's missing, my long range weapon, but I will take care of that soon enough.

All the replies are invalid so far because of this rule.

You ain't carrying 3 or 4 firearms + body armor + baseball bat/machete + big knives

Real life isn't a video game.

O'rly? I carry over 75lbs on any given ruck march. Carrying a rifle, handgun, knife, and body armor is easily feasible.

Take the TS' post for instance. Barret would be in his hands, sawed off strapped to his leg, karambit in pocket, body armor on, bomb making material in a backpack, with the nail bat strapped over the top or across that back. All of which would weigh about 50lbs.

So how do you figure?

A typical soldier has.... body armor 24 lbs, m-16 or m4 ranging from 11-14 lbs loaded and depending on attachments, water 4-6 quarts, ruck sack packing list consisting of food and 3 days of supplies, (clothes, sundries, etc.) 7-10 30 round magazines. possibly and AT4, claymore mines, rounds for a crew serve weapon, radio, whatever.

Yeah so any given moment you typical 150-180 lb soldier will move 60-90 lbs for 10-12 miles at a time. Your logic is flawed sir.

Only if you're a 90lb vagina with legs.

Yes you could actually carry all of this.

Valmet Petra, the finns improved on the AK, not a sniper per say but they do come in hunting calibre and got decent accuracy

I assume this is for the zombie invasion so a range of 200 meters is more then enough, semi auto on the civilian models is just fine

:icon_lol:

Dude, people do it everyday, all over the world...

Your right, real life isn't a video game so you better have a back up weapon, plenty of ammo, and some decent body armor.
