I couldn't have put it any better. That's a beautiful answer. These "fans" annoy me. It's like go watch kickboxing Badr Hari will never shoot for a takedown, neither would Raymond Daniel's nor Rico ver... Something. Striking on its own does nothing for me. For instance I love max Holloway, but I do get weary of his fights sometimes. His offense is striking heavy and the last time he intentionally took it to the ground was Pettis. I get it, keeping the fight where you're strongest is genius. That's high fight iq, buts it's like man show me what else you've got. All the belly aching about wrestling is immature. Mfs who think like that should go watch striking arts. Can't have mma ruined like they ruined judo simply because narrow minded fans can't let people do their thing. Don't get me started on all the homophobic "crotch sniffing" comments. <45>New to mma? Wrestling adds another level and is an ancient form of human combat in many cultures. Even the threat of a takedown has an impact on the tempo of a fight. mma is the most complete form of human combat competition. Rather than modifying mma to protect certain people, how about they just rise to the occasion and improve their deficiencies.
People who are fans of strikers that have questionable ground skills always seem to hate wrestlers and yet would cheer their asses off if their boy was coming up short on the feet and managed to score a takedown.
All this said, I was a kickboxer an boxer when I was a kid and can appreciate mma for what it is. If I did mma and was getting wrestle fucked, I would choose to work on my ground game rather than cry.
Funnily enough everybody though the slams were the most entertaining part when I fought.I couldn't have put it any better. That's a beautiful answer. These "fans" annoy me. Totally depends on the fight, and how aggressively they do it. Very aggressive ground and pound is really fun to watch IMO
Seeing those kill shots from point blank and waiting for one to land is exciting as hell. Big elbows? Hammer fists? He’ll yeah
Haha thanks my man! I appreciate the love!Off topic, your av is more hilariously classic than the shad face one and i didnt think that was possible
Because it just is.
I'm not talking about BJJ.
99% of fans groan when a fight goes to the ground and the fighter isn't a BJJ specialist because we all know nothing exciting is gonna happen.
