We should all agree that wrestling is the most boring part of any fight.

I think a better way to state this is that fans are disappointed when an exciting standup exchange is ended by one of the fighters deciding to take it to the ground.

That's true, but I definitely wouldn't say that's because wrestling the most boring aspect.

The worst fights in MMA are generally the ones where one guy is trying to fight and the other won't get off the bike.

No, the most boring part of any fight is waiting for someone to recover from an eyepoke

Wrestling is 2nd most boring

Because it just is. I'm not talking about BJJ. 99% of fans groan when a fight goes to the ground and the fighter isn't a BJJ specialist because we all know nothing exciting is gonna happen.

Nah can't agree with that but I will point out the Colby v Lawler fight last August, not because it was boring in any way, that fight was particularly top notch. However I was yelling at the top of my lungs because Lawler was flat out giving Colby the outs to finish the fight on the ground, if I remember correctly during the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Colby either A. didn't have the bjj skills or B. was putting on a show for Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Trumpkins in the audience and wanted to extend the fight. That took the luster off his W in my humble opinion.

I've seen Leon Edwards do similar crap too. It's like they are grinding the opponents with superior grappling and quite impressive cardio but are not taking the openings for the finish, that can be a bit disheartening to me. The opposite of that would be Khabib, he is a boa constrictor and will end you if he has the chance

Depends. When the wrestlers just hug guys for long periods of time and somehow get points for it it's kinda annoying

bad ground fighting is all part of the drama. do you even like mma?

and if you are a Trump supporter I question your loyalty.

lewis / ngannou was a thrilling stand up war.

Love GSP dearly, such pure athleticism and a respectable athlete, but wrestlefuck after wrestlefuck decisions really wear down on fans who appreciate striking and more exciting combat, something more than one fighter constantly laying on another.

If the TD leads to ground control, ground strikes, more advanced positions, or sub attempts, then that’s great.

If the opponent escapes 5 seconds later, or gets LET UP by the TD artist who didn’t want to be on the ground in the first place, that’s absolutely detestable. Ahem....Dominic Cruz.

A ground fighter that's afraid to advance position, stays in full guard and does barely enough to not get stood up is worse than watching golf or baseball.

Would have said yes a few moons ago, but it can be extremely satisfying so long as your boi is on top...
