We should all agree that wrestling is the most boring part of any fight.

Because it just is.

I'm not talking about BJJ.

99% of fans groan when a fight goes to the ground and the fighter isn't a BJJ specialist because we all know nothing exciting is gonna happen.

I actually prefer a boring wrestling fight to a black beast/ngannou style stare down on the feet.

Totally depends on the fight, and how aggressively they do it. Very aggressive ground and pound is really fun to watch IMO

Seeing those kill shots from point blank and waiting for one to land is exciting as hell. Big elbows? Hammer fists? He’ll yeah

Not a grappling fan, but i guess there are levels to that game, some fights are good even if grappling matches, other are snoozefests of LnP, imo.

Lay N' Pray is boring, but takedowns, slams, trips and good overall technique is just as exciting to me as striking.

Love GSP dearly, such pure athleticism and a respectable athlete, but wrestlefuck after wrestlefuck decisions really wear down on fans who appreciate striking and more exciting combat, something more than one fighter constantly laying on another.

I am the 1%!! Active wresting doesn't bother me much.

what i can't stand is fights that end up either against the cage for 90% of the fight. Or two counter strikers doing a 15min dance with nothing but feints thrown.

Go watch K1 then.

MMA isn't for you.

Wrestling in MMA is only boring if the fighter in the dominant position, doesn't do anything with it. If he just throws some pitter-patter punches from the guard which scores points, but does nothing to try to end the fight then its boring.

A wrestler who advances position to be able to land stronger, more effective punches or attempts submissions then makes it exciting.

Fuck those fans.

Well I’m not an idiot and understand what I’m watching, so no I don’t find it boring

GSP is the exception that proves the rule.

The MMA part of an MMA fight is most boring. Let them box. In boxing gloves. And call it MMA. Is that how it should be?
