I rarely watch Trump's conferences and he said we might be shipping out our ventilators to other countries that need them more because as it turns out, we don't really need this many.

He also said that the army corps of engineers or something are starting to close down the makeshift hospitals theyve been building because the demand isnt there.

I've actually been watching videos lately about how to build your own no-sew ventilators using just a tee shirt or bandanna.

Edit: The videos were about making masks not ventilators.

Based on some of the new conclusions certain physicians are coming to it sounds like we may look back eventually and declare these ventilators death machines. We are living in a fucked up time.

I have a new pack of boxer briefs and have actually thought about cutting one up to make a mask - situating the crotch opening so it forms the nose and mouth portion. Just to see what kind of reaction I would get while running errands around town.

I tbought they were useless unless its n95? What did they say? If they work then I'll make some

The new recommendation is that everyone wear a cloth mask whenever leaving the house. But the mask is to limit the potential spread of the virus if the one wearing it is unaware they are infected. It does not adequately protect the wearer from the outside threat of the virus. Only the N95's (allegedly) can do that.

- tit for tat backroom deals
- Globalized economy and shit
- US probably has managed to get shit under control when it comes to supplies so far.

Yes. Cuomo has said that New York has a pretty sizeable surplus of ventillators right now, and the curve is leveling off. Not a single person has died because they didn't have access to a hospital bed or ventillator.

Europe is being hit much harder than the US. We have to help them out some.

Nah, that was always fake news. Cloth masks are more effective than no mask.

He's shipping them to Italy, because Italians have a completely devastated economy and need to feed a large homeless immigrant population.
No money for ventilators in Italy.
Socialism comes with a price.

They also don't have any surge capacity in their medical system. My fiance sells point of care ultrasound equipment that is used in ERs and hospitals and she was on a call where the CEO was talking. Spain and Italy generally spend $1-2 million a year on equipment and in the past month they have both spent over $7 million because they simply have zero extra capacity over a normal ER room situation. He compared that to the US where revenue is pretty normal except for a few hotspots like NYC.

Jared is a globalist, which makes Trump a globalist. Trump has to help out his globalist buddies and Jared needs to get paid back in checks from Cayman Island banks.
Dont be fooled by Donny talking tough about China, since they also make all the shit he sells.

Use a pair of red panties

Seems Trump was wise to resist the calls to nationalize entire industries to build ventilators that we never ran short of, and very well might do more harm than good anyway.

I am sure those who were calling for him to do so will acknowledge their mistake.

What I’ve read is that two layers of woven cotton stop 50% of virus particles vs the 95% of a n95. Given that a certain initial viral load is necessary for infection and the larger that load, the worse the health outcome, a sewn cloth mask is definitely better than nothing.

I will be the first to credit Trump's monumental incompetence in that particular case as having done more good than harm. Sometimes failure produces unexpected positive outcomes.

I use four layers and so get 100% virus particle protection.
