At the end of main event Rogan said to Jones that "We are very short on time" and he interviewed him like he is some chump on prelims. I'm no Jones fan at all, in fact I wanted DC to win but that was just disrespectful to both Jones and Cerrone for not getting a proper interview or any interview at all in Cerrone's case.

They dragged first hour of PPV, wasting so much time on hyping main event to people who already bought that PPV (absurdity of that is just laughable) and with McGOAT interview that was crap so that in the end they didn't have time to properly interview their dominant champ.

Amateur hour at UFC. Can't they plan this shit out? Seriously even good cards are starting to be a drag with this horrible pacing.

They were, it was midnight here. Would you rather they cut Jon off mid speech?

Here is everything jones and cerrone had to say. Now find something else to whine about.

    Great point.
Hyping dc v jj during a ppv is absurd.
    Interveiwng conor. Unnecessary.
It was almost as bad as a fox card.

Of course he will say that but he is most likely pissed, would have been better if a few more eye pokes happened and they kept having to have a time out and the fight get cut off and then they would enjoy the reaction

    -

I'll just put down what I put in the other thread

Don't add rubbish fights on the main card
Don't waste 15 minute hyping a card when the PPV already started
Don't waste time with an interview with Conor because you made a mistake sticking him on the free card and tickets sales are shit so you have to hype it up

It took them like 1 hour and 10 minutes for the 2nd fight to end.. even more I think, that's pretty pathetic. They screwed up

They can't predict if all fights will go the instance or not. I'm sure they wanted to have interviews. Live Television doesn't always cooperate. Has nothing to do with respect.

This is the second time its happened in 22 years....I think their current system is perfectly fine.

It very rare for all the fights on the main card to go to decisions.

The funny thing is that I have seen multiple threads about it, but it's not the first time and it didn't have fuck to do with the people that were being interviewed.

I remember a time when the scheduled broadcast was done so it can include all main card fights full length. If it ran short, they filled the space with untelevised fight or the bullshit in between.

I agree with TS. Amateur hour all the way. I pay top dollar for this PPV (up 5 bucks from last one mind you) and Cerrone gets dissed and the champ cut short? Bullshit. I think I even remember seeing a commercial at some point.....

Good thread TS. Don't let these dudes make you feel like the odd man out for being aware of the bullshit

All the fights went to decision, that's why they ran out of time. Would have liked to hear DC's immediate reaction though. Not Rogan or the UFC's fault really. Almost never happens.

You know they literally have not changed a thing that they do. They play untelevised fights because some events the fights all end more quickly. I don't know how you haven't seen this pattern before if you've been watching since 2007... Seriously, this isn't the first time it's happened.

Actually I think it is completely UFC's fault because they put that interview with Conor on PPV and then run out of time.

Rogan:"And what will you do Conor?"

Conor:"Oh I will put him out in under 2 minutes"

    Rogan:"Ok and what else?"

    Conor:"And also I will...I will...uummm put him out under 2 minutes"

Rogan:"Ok then, lets talk some more because we are sure some fighters will get a finish, we have so much time to kill for sure. What did you buy at supermarket today?"

They dragged first hour of PPV with one fight, commercials for that PPV we were watching and that interview so then they rushed everything else. They do that on every PPV, keep hyping the fight people already paid to see. No point in selling anymore, if we are watching then we bought it.
