We are truly in the interim champ era. More in the past 5 years than previous 20

UFC diluting the value of a championship belt.

Other interesting facts regarding interim champs....

5 successfully unified the titles
4 Failed to unify
4 were promoted to Undisputed
3 were stripped
1 failed to defend it
1 is still currently an interim champion

Shit's weak.

Look at all the HWs in the first list. Damn.

There's too many. If you're out for a certain period of time things have to move on.

Naw... You're only saying that because the interim champ from two years prior is defending a vacated title against an interim title holder. It's normal.

Should the BMF Belt count as 2 interim belts?

The list of Interim Champs is actually a really solid list of fighters. Arguably better than the list of actual champs.

I dont mind to much unless they dont unifiy them.

Fighters are different now then they were 10 years ago

Champion fighters have much more to lose

Therefore they only want to fight when healthy

Plus they get more reebok money as a champ

UFC also didn't have Feather and Bantam until 2010 and flyweight till 2012.
UFC also allowed its later champs like Conor and Cruz to not defend for very long periods of times via being names.

Doesn't bother me because I don't obsess over belts. All I care about is good fights.

WME are adamant they have a title fight to headline every PPV.

Yes, this weird list says it all.
I especially like the "failed to defend it" line. I mean, seriously... these are the things that are so wrong with today's UFC.
