Probably because it was fairly easy to arrange compared to say LHW. Seems a bit of a waste of time to me. And neither Usyk or Gassiev, the two best CW are in the tournament.

Yeah—no real reason to do another CW tournament so soon, especially if Usyk still has all the belts.

Yeah I'm assuming this was the easiest tournament to set up. It will work out if Uysk fights the winner after. It would be a good way to market the fight.
