rough translation:
The president of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaiman, asked Gennady Golovkin to reconsider his position in the negotiations with Canelo Álvarez, suggesting he not let the dollars go for a few cents, since the negotiations were interrupted by new petitions in the distribution of profits on the part of the Kazakh.

he added

Golovkin tiene todo nuestro apoyo, si no se hace la pelea, tendrá que ir con (Jermall) Charlo,

Golovkin has our full support, if the fight is not made, he will have to go fight (Jermall) Charlo,

He should give Oscar the finger, fight BJS, Charlo, and end his career with a rematch against Jacobs.

lol yeah, he will show Oscar hahahaha, GGG stands to lose millions , Bad business advice

So basically Canelo/GGG 2 will be signed in the next week or two.

lol... so Sulaiman is in Oscar's pocket.

That said, I'd love to see GGG vs Charlo.

I feel like the WBC was pretty quick to come out in defense of Canelo after his failed drug tests. Clean Boxing Program....Unless you bring lots of money

I find it weird Sulaiman is all of a sudden riding GBP and Canelo’s nuts lately after both GBP and Canelo gave Sulaiman the finger during the preliminary negotiations for the first fight that led to Canelo vacating the belt

Sulaiman publicly defended Canelo after the drug test results and now this?

(Yes I know, its onviously money) point is...

the WBC have always been too involved politically and financially in big fights and its time they fuck off, at least the IBF and the WBO arent big leeches like the WBC and WBA

What a fun time in boxing. Fight is getting so much attn, plz let it get signed.

I can't stand Oscar and wouldn't mind seeing he get shut out, but Golovkin would be leaving a fair bit of money on the table if he were to do that. Canelo remains by far the biggest payday out there for him.

The fight will be done, and Canelo's and GBP's bargaining power is as high as we could guess, no matter how much Canelo's people screwed up.

Yeah GGG is placed in a bad spot

Either fight Canelo or fight your legit mandatory .

The list: Charlo, Jacobs, Murato, or Derevyanchenko

GGG just cant fight nobody or some blown up middleweight ( except Canelo) and maintain the image he created

Yet if he chooses to fight Canelo it will look like he ducked Charlo

IBF is next up on mandatory defenses for GGG, I don’t see how anything the WBC says right now should matter at all. I believe they are actually last in order of defenses GGG has to make right now.

I don't think there's evidence to support that, although the quote did raise an eyebrow, since he basically did the same to Canelo a couple years ago. He upheld the champion vs interim champion purse split when GBP was pushing for basically a 90-10 split. I do feel Canelo has put the screws to him since then so the heat may have swayed him.

Would a fight against BJS trump the mandatories? Would he still get stripped if his next fight is a unification?

BJS would be acceptable but per Team GGG they are not seeking BJS, their own words.
As for stripping, it is a business and things can be negotiated.

IF GGG chooses no unification or any of the mandatories nor Canelo, what message is he sending?

GGG needs a big fight next. Even if he fights again twice this year. Not sure what they'll do but if they face a chump it'll undo all the goodwill they've been getting due to Canelo's failed test. Also another 150k PPV will blow his demands at a renegotiated split out of the water. Canelo has more an excuse since he'll be fighting after a relatively long layoff but if he fights Spike and doesn't have strong PPV sales it should hurt his standing too.

Charlo/GGG would do way more than only 150k. I'd estimate 300k-350k. Charlo is a god in Texas and GGG will bring in his Mexican/Kazakhstani fans over. BJS would probably do about the same numbers more or less. Murata would make shitty numbers, in my opinion. The fact that GGGs team is looking for that fight just shows he wants to preserve the Canelo fight down the line and play it safely.

I would have said that GGG should just fight charlo /bjs instead of Canelo, but not after the postfight with Abel Sanchez. He said that fight ( with vanes ) was basically a big risk with little reward. GGG does not want to risk a loss before the rematch, so he will probably agree to terms soon.

I do agree they should fight each other next. It's the best fight to make. If they do fight other people next then that will determine what kind of terms they finally agree on. Hopefully they split it 60-40 and meet in September.
