The Light heavyweight to Cruiserweight difference is what needed adjustment

The 224lb division is going to end up like the cruiserweight division, why would fighters settle for 224lbs when they can make better money and get more exposure at heavyweight? Now they’re going to be stuck with 2 cruiersweight divisions
If they keep 200-224 HW and call 225 Super HW. It makes ppl think its fat ppl and HW will still have prestige

Yay, more world championship belts.

What are they calling it? Bigweight?

But 240lbers could cut to 224. An in shape, lean 240 lbs is a giant human. Wlad weighed around 240 and he was the epitome of a modern SHW.

This makes no fucking sense. Lightheavyweights already FIGHT between 175 and 190. If your going to move the CW division limit to 190, then make it 190 on the freaking dot... sheesh. And then the 'new division' can be 200 to 220.

This whole thing seems to be a half-baked ploy to create and market more hollow multi division champions and collect more sanctioning fees. Like i said, fine i guess, but at least get it right.
Cruiserweight was 190lbs before 2004

So how does that work in a unification when the other orgs recognize 200?
It's BS that doesn't work at all.
Nothing against moving the CW limit to 190, but adding another division just means another belt and more sanctioning fees for the WBC.

So how would there be a unification for CW between the WBC champ and let's say the IBF champ if the weight limits are different?

224 lbs is way too high.
Other than Valuev, Fury is probably the heaviest elite boxer of all-time and even he could make 224 lbs.
He was 257 lbs in his first fight with Wilder, so all he would have to do is lose 17 lbs of body fat and cut 16 lbs of water (that's less water than guys like Corey Anderson and Jon Jones cut).
