i’ve been high on madrimov for a while but he does tend to get way too wild. he’s almost too fan-friendly. realistically, this seems like a scheduled highlight reel KO for madrimov.
i’ve wanted to talk about this for a while, but the eastern european matchmaking is always vaguely racist, pairing prime skilled white eastern europeans with either overmatched or past-prime black fighters. this feels like a bout taking place on those terms.

Always felt Madrimov is overrated, Soro should have this

Madrimov is similar to Bek with a lot of unnecessary movement and potential for defensive lapses.

In the case of Michel Soro maybe they're actually hoping the guy will show up in bad shape. He's 34 and hasn't fought in 2 years.
They may be on for a surprise, though. He was in Big Bear in September. A few years ago I met Soro at the beach in the summer and he had no fight scheduled. Well, he was fucking ripped.

On a side note Soro is one of the very few French boxers that proved himself at world level. Gave Castano a heck of a fight, smashed Vendetti like a bug. Well, this fellow is 34, he hasn't fought in 2 years and he has to take a bout in Uzbekistan. It speaks volumes about the trainwreck pro boxing has become in his country.
