Water & Protien Mixes.???

Ok this is a 2 part question... First is ..What do most of you guys use to MIX your protien shakes.?? I use Whey EXTREAM Choc. & am always using SKIM MILK. (How is it with water straight?) Trying to CUT weight .. . Ok also on your water intake are you guys drinking from TAP or use a certain bottle water as we deal today with so much garbage in our BOTH food's & water.. Also on the water is Distilled which i heard was used by alot of guys better then straight?? Thank's..
 
I would recommend using water with your protein shakes. I use water in both of my shakes, but I also use a blender to make sure that everything is dissolved well. without a blender, it's sometimes more time consuming to dissolve all the protein powder in water

As far as tap vs bottled/distilled water, it shouldn't make a difference, use whatever type of water you drink throughout the day (if you usually drink tap water, use tap water; if you usually drink bottled water, use bottled water)
 
I fucking hate Protein with water, tastes fucking disgusting imo.

Really? Although it's not as good as milk, my Chocolate MuscleMilk tastes pretty good with water and a tablespoon of flax. I sometimes throw a little natural peanut butter in there too, and I think it's delicious.
 
Water is ok if you have a good quality protein, or you add a ton of shit to it.

For my workout drink i use water, Whey Cooler, gatorade powder, lemon juice and Greens +.
That would be pretty fucking nasty if I used Milk instead.

In the morning I use a a 50-50 skim milk/water with BSN Syntha-6 protein. Almost better than most milkshakes.

Dude, you can put MuscleMilk in a cup of piss and it'll still taste delicious.

I use just water.

When I need a change of pace, I throw in some orange juice.

Yeah it's almost like filling up an ice cream dish with water and throwing it back. Something really gross about it.
 
i use one of those protein shakers from gnc with ON chocolate whey. add some water (i add more than 8 oz), shake it up and i chug it down real quick.

i have a talent for chugging, can drink a bottle of water in less in 4 secs or a huge 32oz bottle of iced tea in about as long as it takes to pour it out of the bottle...:eek:
 
For the standard vanilla proteins, I find that they're almost undrinkable with water. Instead, I'll use light soy milk (I'm lactose intolerant.)

There are proteins that do taste good with water though. Muscle Milk is one of them, as are the Syntrax Nectar flavors (especially Fuzzy Navel and Roadside Lemonade.)
 
BTW, other than MuscleMilk, who drinks just straight protein powder + water/milk?
 
I only use whole milk, unless it's my wo shakes.

And i've never had muscle milk. i just use evopro.
 
i like chocolate nitrean with water.. mixes easy and tastes pretty good
 
I went out and bought a 118mL (1/2 cup) tupperware and put a whole scoop of powder plus maybe 1/4 cup water. Violently shake for a few minutes and it is MONEY.

Coming from a guy that *hates* the clumps, Im telling you this is the only way to go. No clumps, tates a lot better IMO and its easier than cranking up the blender.
 
i use water cause milk doest sit well out side at work. and the powder i have isn't even flavoured
 
I usually use milk, 1% or skim. I'll use water now and then though if I'm out of milk or something, doesn't bother me too much, just less taste.
 
I do half skim milk and half water because I can't stomach straight water, and I want to cut down the calories a bit for the time being.
 
Depends on the flavor for me. If its fruit flavored protein, then i will use water. If its chocolate or vanilla, then milk is the best IMO
