Watching and ranking every Bond: No time to die (review)

I wasnt a fan of quantum

That one and the first one were my favorite bond films. Skyfall seemed like it would be good. Trailer was amazing. It ended up just being sort of meh to me.

That's how i have them too basically.

Although I think casino and skyfall arent as close as some others might. I liked skyfall but casino is a tier above imo

I thought it was as dull as dishwater if I’m being honest. But I liked the actual plot with the evil energy company magnate. I think you had a decent idea there it was just poor execution and came across as weirdly lethargic in a way that even some bad Bond films usually aren’t.

At the end of the day, though, I think even the worst Craig bond films are better than the worst Bond films of the Moore/Brosnan canon.

Give me Spectre over Moonraker and Die Another Day any day of the week.

Tomorrow Never Dies has a lot of action. Super gadget car chase, motorcycle chase, underwater stuff. The ending gets very violent. The girl is a bad ass. Carver was amusing I guess manipulating the media. That's a fun one that imo is very underrated.

It’s very underrated. Brosnan’s second best by a long shot in my opinion.

The car chase scene alone where Brosnan is fleeing from Stamper and co. by remotely driving the car from the back seat with the track pad Q gave him is awesome enough to make it a positive review already lol.

Great villains overall too. Epic actor in Pryce playing a villain with a cool gimmick/plot. The late, great character actor Schiavelli as the malevolent doctor and Stamper a good henchman.

Plus Michelle Yeoh is always awesome. It’s not a slam dunk. There are a lot of laggy spots but overall it’s quite entertaining.

Honestly I thought spectre was depressing

My favorite one.

Spectre is the only one I haven't seen.

Seems like a pretty clear top 5 (or at worst 6) for me. Some people rag on Lazenby even while praising the movie, but I thought he was pretty spot-on good, especially in capturing Bond's charm/humor in those scenes when he is posing as the genealogy expert.

His delivery of some of the one-liners is pretty hilarious. When the one of the women at Blofeld's compound is massaging him under the table and he reacts and Irma Bunt asks if he is alright. "I'm just getting a bit of stiffness...in my neck..."
