Watching and ranking every Bond: No time to die (review)

i feel like i liked spectre even less than quantum but im not totally sure

To me Spectre was disappointing, you had a Physical Threat in Bautista and you have Christoph Fucking Waltz as Bloefeld and all fell flat.

I've only seen the Craig ones except the new one and parts of the brosnon ones.

I recently watched Dr. No. It was decent but very of its time. I know Russia with love is supposed to be good so I'll watch that. But I think I'd rather just watch the ones you guys recommend or at least the best ones for each actor.

I guess what I'm really asking is which ones can I skip?
Everyone with Sean Connery

Take your pick, they're all the same movie.

My favourites:
Thunderball
Goldfinger
You Only Live Twice
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
The Spy Who Loved Me
A View to a Kill
Never Say Never Again** (yes, I count this one my rankings)
The Living Daylights
Goldeneye

Worst ones:
Die Another Day
The World is Not Enough
Quantum of Solace
Moonraker

Dalton's Bond is so underrated its painful. He's closer to the actual Ian Fleming character than any other Bond, and he still manages to get some humor in amidst all the angst and darkness. He's second only to Connery imho.

Connery was not dark enough to Book Bond but he was the right amount of macho and "sexist" as they say. He also smoked (unhealthy but yeah) and he had the look and some of the mannerisms

Did Daltons Bond smoke? I dont recall. Craigs Bond is dark, emotional the best in terms of book Bonds ego, emotions but Craig doesnt have the look or height book Bond has, Craig is like a newer improved one (doesnt smoke, but drinks heavily, jacked and more athletic than the other Bonds, hairless chest and not sexist, thus keeping with the times)

Spectre finishes poorly because the North Koreabs hacked and released the script. Spectre could of been amazing but they ruined the last quarter of the film.

Quantum is basically too short but overall it isnt a bad film probably the most realistic next to Casino Royale and Skyfall. I think people dislike Quantum because it is just a chase film largelly and doesnt seem rich with story, nothing is revealed of Bond

Yes. Lazenby and Dalton weren't smokers but they smoked on screen for the sake of the character. Brosnan was the first one to take it out altogether

From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Goldeneye, You Only Live Twice
Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Living Daylights, Licence to Kill, Casino Royale, Skyfall,
For Your Eyes Only & The Spy Who Loved Me are good Roger Moore films.

Got through Russia with love and goldfinger. Both were improvements over dr. No imo. Its fun to see he origins of where films like austin powers and others parodied it.

I'd put from Russia with love above goldfinger. Looking forward to the next ones

In love with all those movies.

For a flavour of what’s on offer:

Connery: Goldfinger, ThunderBall, You Only Live Twice

Moore: Man with the Golden Gun, Octopussy, Moonraker

Tim Dalton only has the two but they’re both good IMO.

Brosnan: Goldeneye, Die Another Day

Craig - well you already seen those

Thunderball and Goldfinger are brilliant. Both Dalton films are great.
Live and Let die is horrible, skip that monstrosity.

Moonraker, Spy who loved me, Licence to Kill, Living Daylights, Never say Never again, The Man with the Golden Gun
