Unpopular opinion time. After giving the fight a watch on Fight Pass, I must say I scored every round for Condit. Even the big knockdown couldn't sway round 2 for Lawler, which seems like the only thing people seem to mention when they talk about that round. Condit was way more active and out classed Robbie on the feet badly, every single round.

Man, if I was Condit, I would want to retire after that as well. Maybe demand a rematch or something...

Anyways, wacky scorings like this need to be looked into by the UFC. There needs to be a way for the UFC to overturn bad decisions, like the way Boxing does.

Lost a title fight he should've won then gets raped in his next fight.

His confidence is at an all time high

I think it was 3-2, but both of Lawler's rounds were very close... 2 and 5 literally could have gone Carlos, so I don't think you are crazy at all tbh

I thought condit defiantly won that fight. Lawler was on the better end of two really dodgy decisions.

    Condit 1, 3, 4 from what I remember...

Said it before & i'll say it again, fight was lackluster until round 5. Will re-watch.

Rd 5 was one the greatest round 5 I've ever seen except for Chael/Anderson I.

The way it ended with both men clinging onto the fence was incredible

While I don't think Condit won every round, it was a clear victory for him. Poor decision.

Also scored this fight today thinking about it. Had it 48-47 Condit maybe 48-46 depending if you scored RD 4 a 10-8. No idea how anybody could score it lawler

It was for sure a bad decision but i would not suggest going back and over turning. I would just suggest to get rid of all the incompetent judges and put people with fight experience and fight analytical skills behind the scoring monitors.

The judges now are all terrible and got their job because of someone they know and it's a boy's club when it should be elite MMA knowledge that qualifies you.

Oh yeah this fight. Frustrating because condit fired off tons of volume but clearly had no power attempted in the majority of his strikes.

He played a blatant point-fighting strategy and imo the judges noticed that and ultimately rewarded Lawler's ruthless power and aggression in bursts instead.

I feel like this situation is similar in scoring to Sanchez vs Parisyan. There, Sanchez only was winning the first and last minute of the entire fight but got the decision because Karo accomplished very little the entire fight.

Condit didn't even deserve the fight and he won imo

Lawler would've finished Hendricks if they fought instead

That isn't an unpopular opinion, many people, myself included considered Condit the uncrowned King of welterweight after that fight.

I had it 3-2 Condit and was somewhat baffled by the decision.

I Respect Chael alot cause he even said he got lucky and didn't beat the best Shogun. But still, a win is a win <{fry}>

    Get real

Condit starched him plenty of times, you probably saw Robbie get 1-punch KO'd in his last fight because of the freak amount of damage he took against Condit and Rory.

When Robbie was taking entire rounds off, he fought going backwards. He saves up his energy and then tries to unload all at once, its just his style. Condit wasn't fighting not to lose, he was coming forward and threw plenty of power punches/kicks
