Everybody is talking about how you can't stop Diaz by strikes, but Daley put him face down ass up for some seconds and dropped him twice.
Diaz recovered quickly and of course Daley has great power, but it's not like it's impossible to tko Diaz.

Even for GSP.

I really think it'll go to a decision, but GSP by tko is possible too.

Daley hits like a truck. If anything it's a testament to how good Nick's chin is that he took the shots and kept going to finish him.

1) gsp doesn't hit nearly as hard as Daley
2) he got dropped, but he wasnt "almost unconscious", he was reaching for a leg before he even hit the ground

Its been said a million times leading up to this fight: gsp will not finish diaz unless its by doctor stoppage due to cuts.

50-45, bring on hendricks hopefully he can stuff the TDs when he faces gsp.

I dont think he was hurt that bad....he was concious and covered up right away. I dont imagine GSP doing that to Nick.....im sure GSP has solid power but he doesnt throw KO punches. It would have to be a succession of strikes

He was obviously hurt, but he was intelligently defending himself. He was on his knees, hunched over with his head lowered to the canvas. He was angling his head so his shoulders were protecting the sides of his head. He was still very much in the fight.

Gsp doesnt have the power Daley does but he has better technique and more variety..

My 2 cents: gsp doesn't hit half as hard as daley and nobody at ww in mma hits as hard as daley with the striking pedigree he does. hendricks has a nice left hand but he can't land his like daley can due to daleys far superior striking which is also varied which makes him even more likely to land because they don't know what the expect compared to hendricks who uses boxing primarily usually just head shots too(don't know if he's ever went to the body). I'd put ellenburger above hendricks in striking and even he would have a difficult time putting him out. can diaz be ko'd sure i mean even hunt has been put to sleep but you are going to need serious firepower and good striking too; i still have daley as the most likely man to knockout nick diaz and i stand by that statement.

Gomi rocked him pretty good too. He's been in TKO waters before, but I don't think anyone has been able to put a nail in his coffin. At least not in the last six years or so. I've heard he's been KO'd before, in his early days.

I honestly thought Paul had stopped Nick when I watched that fight, but great recovery by Diaz. As previously said, GSP doesn't have anywhere near the power of Daley, and Diaz HAS got a good chin.

Wasn't GSP almost unconscious in the Condit fight? Also, Daley is one of the hardest hitters at WW in MMA, if you get hit properly by Daley you are more than likely going down

Diaz was obviously protecting himself and was working. No ref would've stopped the fight at that moment. Just because you fall doesn't automatically mean the fight is over, the Ref looks to see the condition of the fighter first before making stupid decisions.

Didn't Rick story take Hendricks down?
