Was that scar removal surgery the Diaz brothers had just a sham?

that surgery only reduces the tissue and they usually shave the bone underneath as well.
doesn't guarantee the fighter will be cut free in the future.
 
I never heard Nate had surgery. Nick did and while he still cuts, it hasn't been nearly as bad as in some fights. He was a bloody mess in that Noons fight they mention but even worse before he subbed Gomi.
 
I thought it worked for Nick. His fight with Noons was stopped because of the cuts. Then he had surgery and can't recall a fight being stopped since then.

Two things cause those cuts, scar tissue & calcifiaction around the bone from strikes, if you have scar tissue removal but you don't shave down the bone you still have substantial risk of getting more cuts than most. So no sham just an unfinished job, plus getting punched in the face will normally lead to bleeding.
 
It was just Nick with that procedure wasn't it? Unless they had a 2 for the price of 1 offer and Nate looks up to his brother so much he'd do it too.
 
Wand got it. Not sure if it helped with cuts but it completely changed his face.

Wand got plastic surgery haha, no way he just got scar tissue removed.

Lol, I think it was the Nate/Maia fight, just before that because when he was in the corner of Maia and I| just remember laughing

 
Works a lot better if you get the procedure after your done fighting.
 
Lauzon did something similar also, not sure if he commented on it working.
 
Any chance at improving your body is a good thing. If it cuts down the chances is for starters great but if you think it helps and mentally that gives you an edge that's even better. A ton of fighting is mental

i think typical noob issue where peopl ethink the diaz brothers are the same person haha - i could be wrong but i dont think nate got that - many mma fans confidently talk about the diaz brothers interchangeably, at least in the past, so no worries
