Entertaining flashy striking, supreme TDD, relying on his chin, and pinpoint precision in landing the shots. Watching McGregor dismantle Siver reminded me of Prime Anderson Silva, clowning fighters, breaking their will, and making them crumble shot by shot. The very offensive nature of his fighting style leaves him open sometimes and hence prone to eat some shots that he would gladly do for the sake of putting on a show.

McGregor = Super Sayian Anderson Silva

He's kind of like a mix of Anderson and Nick Diaz. Obviously his accomplishments aren't close to Andersons, but I definitely see some similarities. Both value movement and rhythm a lot but Connor walks people down more like Nick

The very end of the first round against Siver was suuper Diaz-like.

He has great reflexes and seems to know what his opponents are going to do before they do. He moves just out of range, waits for the punch or kick to come and then closes in and counters very fast. Also, he sets his own shots up with nice combo's. Siver never saw that last left hand coming.

No that would have to be his debut fight against brimage.

Dont compare him to Silva again. But rather that than the muhammad ali/sonny liston shit someone made a thread about lol

Anderson never had supreme tdd. While his tdd was often under rated and got better as his career went on, at no point was it supreme.

    Just sayin'

How is he anything like Diaz? Just because he sticks his hands up and corners his opponents? Absurd

That weidman rematch aside.. Silva is a different kicker then Conor. Conor just throws alot of spinning and fancy kicks without any set up or timing, where Anderson Silva always throw the best kick against that opening..

Conor is more like a Diaz with spinning kicks.

Totally reminds me of Silva too, those are the guys who make this sports grow. His trash talk may put his fighting attributes at doubt but really showed us he up to the task, that's what matters.

I would say he is a mix of Diaz and Silva as far as striking styles go. Then again neither throw the type of kicks he does so you would probably have to add in another fighter to really complete it. Which just goes to show that Conor is a unique fighter and cannot be totally likened to another fighter...just like basically every other mmartist.

I will say that after he dropped Siver and instead of ending it immediately with a barrage of strikes Conor instead got full mount. That for some reason reminded me a lot of Silva. When I was watching live it seemed like Conor was trying to get full mount for the sake of furthering his destruction of Siver. Idk just the way Conor seemed to be prolonging the finish as that point almost to humiliate Siver reminded of Anderson a lot. Anyone else get that?

He hasn't been taken down once in his UFC run and two opponents with good takedowns have tried several times (Brandao & Siver). It may not be "supreme" but it's certainly very good.

That barrage of hooks to the body and head while the opponent is in peekaboo defense is the signature Diaz move

the fact you just compared conner mcgregory who has beat no one of any real relevance to Anderson completely discredits this whole post

Conor is kinda like Diaz, with better kicks and punching power. And stronger at his weight class instead of scrawny

    It really does not.

A brand new fighter can be compared to any legend in terms of fight style. He is not trying to compare legacy or record.
