But he was, cardio is part of the game and its one of Magney's strongest attributes.

He finished a guy who had never been finished in 30 fights, very impressive.

First, Lombard has never been finished EVER.

Second, why do you think Lombard was going so hard for the finish? Because he knew he would gas, he always does, and knew finishing Magny was his only shot at winning.

He weathered a ridiculous storm, in which he took a savage beating, and still had enough left in the tank to come out strong and take over the fight. That's impressive.

Durability is underrated. Almost all of the champs have it. We tend to like offense, but we really need to give more credit to defense.

So yes, Magny was impressive. At this point, how do you beat him? He's got great cardio. His technique is solid. You are going to have a hell of a time trying to (T)KO him. I'd rather have a prospect like him with bulletproof defense than a prospect with great offense like Hall or McGregor. Magny will still be around when those guys are done.

If you're gonna gas, you better finish everyone real damn fast.

Lombard is who he is and he'll never have the gas tank to compete into the third with a guy like Magny. It's part of the sport.

I think you underestimate just what it takes to come back from something like that. If it was that easy more guys would just come back from the brink like that and win. Seeing as it isn't the norm, it is, by definition, impressive.
