Or does he usually fight like that? Ive only seen the gomi fight so idk.

I definetly feel like sherdog is taking it easy on him tho. That was Kalib Starnes level. Atleast Starnes was injured so this might be worse.

Condit and Guida still gets shit for what they did

Jury seems to fight incredibly safe. I remember him laying on top of Michael Johnson and running a lot against Diego Sanchez, which made the "that was easy" post-fight speech even more iritating.

I was pretty sure that he could have won the fight with a strong third round, 29:28. Then the Head Kick Nation attacked. Everything changed.

Compare that to the scores Starnes earned against Quarry.

It definitely seemed like he was fighting a little scared

Jury was clearly sick going into this fight. Based on his performance he obviously had a case of the scurreds.

He did a great job with defense and never took much damage. Seemed like that was his only goal besides takedowns.

Did he forget that Cowboy has second best takedown defense at lightweight and that he may need to throw a punch to win?

Cowboy is a beast. That is all. I was rooting for Jury though.

No Jury wasn't injured...he fought Cowboy....that's what happened.

I think the pressure of the moment affected him more than anything Cowboy did.

This is a perfect example of "he'll grow from this loss" and I fully expect him to be back in the top 10 by the end of the year.

  14. Jury isn't very good, that is what was "up" with him. His best wins were against two fighters who are shells of their former selves. Watching Jury get whooped was extremely satisfying.

I really don't like Jury. Glad Cowboy knocked him down a peg...

... But yeah, he fights safe but usually has more success because he's the better striker/grappler than his opponent. Cowboy was better everywhere so Jury just mentally checked out.

to be honest I never liked his style that much. And this is just what it looks like when he fights someone better.

you're a very patient person because i watched him run like a bitch the whole time. I was not satisfied at all. I very much enjoyed watching cowboy kick the hell out of him at the very end though.

I don't know but the LW division is insane. Just to even get a sniff at the champ you have to go through guys like Cerrone, Henderson, RDA, Khabib, etc.

Looked awful. He didn't commit to any punch he trew. He wanted the TD and had no plan b.
