Seems like it's pretty clear what future opponents have to do to beat JDS. Face it Cain made JDS look like a 3rd rate fighter last night.

No, because future opponents don't have the skills that Cain has to do what Cain did to him last night.

Junior is an awesome fighter and the #2 in the HW right now, he just fought with a better fighter.

Warrr Cain we are proud of you

no - he landed a monster punch early, from which JDS never recovered.

nice try though.

This. I'm not sure how/why all of these alternative explanations on why the fight went the way that it did have taken off.

These are the typical overreaction treads we see after big fights. No TS, jds is a very good, elite HW. Cain was the better man. Nothing was exposed, jds will come back and do his thing.

Yep, pretty clear that all you need to do to beat Junior dos Santos is develop elite wrestling, unrelenting cardio, possess a serious chin, as well as good enough striking to close the distance-- and every heavyweight has those attributes.

This, they are almost equal in skill and are head and tails above everyone else in the division

Seriously stop with this exposed shit, he got overwhemled and outclassed by a better prepared and hungrier fighter. He's still an elite HW and is still in the mix. He'll most likely get another chance for the belt in the future and he can still beat just about anyone on any given night. Give it a rest son

If you daze someone and they don't recover, they're going to lose. That's going to happen to anyone.

JDS is what he has always been. An elite level boxer with excellent takedown defense, a great chin, incredible heart, a questionable gas tank, and zero kicks. He's still a top 5 HW at worst, and probably more along the lines of top 3.

He made JDS look like a lower division fighter, yeah.

I think Cormier is the only other fighter who can push that kind of game plan to JDS at HW and beat him the same way.

I also do think that there is a clear blueprint to beating JDS now for those two elite wrestlers at HW which JDS needs to work on and this is just at HW.

JDS wasnt exposed.

Cain implemented a perfect gameplan and was the one who made correct judgements in the rematch. these 2 will bang again and I expect to see a much different result as JDS improves(not saying JDS will win the next matchup) on what he needs to improve.

One thing about this last camp was JDS was doing a lot more talking then accustomed to seeing. Cain used the injury argument for why he got taken out in the first meeting. You could make a strong case JDS could use the excuse of being overly confident leading to his demise this time. Throughout the buildup to the fight, JDS wasnt talking about his upcoming opponent Cain. He was talking up a future bout with Overeem and it bit him hard.
