Was Honda Housey the only fighter to get the inside joke regarding Renato Laranja??

It seemed like F. Shamrock took the interview very seriously and seem geniunely annoyed/irritated/offended at Laranga at times, as did Bas Rutten and Rener Gracie, (Leben just kept shaking his head in disbelief, but pretty much held it together), and Kenflo just sort of tried to answer as best he could. But Honda Housey (he also called her "haunted housey"!), imo, handled him the best: just giggled and blushed through the whole thing and never once took anything personal.

I just wonder why the other fighters Laranja interviewed didn't "get the gag" and just go with it like Honda?

Nate Diaz handled it the best, imo.
 
I know Laranja is just a joke but is dude legit with his BJJ?
 
Diaz wanted to fight him which, or course, we would expect nothing less from Nate, but it didn't make for a long interview. Same with Vinny Magalheeeeeeeeesssshhhhhh....

And agreed about Weidman, he seemed to get "it" too.
 
Maybe their way of getting "it" was to really get into it and to make people believe it was genuine.

That sounds about right. Haven't seen the Frank Sham interview, but by know everyone know Renato is a spoof guy. I think there's a Bas interview where he pretends to get pissed at him too. Bas like's to play these kinds of pranks all the time.
 
Tate seemed a bit weirded out but she didn't overreact. When he said something about wanting to have a baby with her lulz

You are naming people that you think weren't in on it and they were... Rutten and Shamrock were completely in on it at the very least. I guess they fooled you.

I think everyone including his interviewees know he's joking. You'd have to be an idiot to not catch on. It's not like it's the first time they see him when they interview. By now everyone knows he's a failed actor/comedian from NY who found a niche within a niche sport. I think he's hilarious.
