Anderson gave up 20 lbs on weight and KOed the former champion in spectacular fashion. It was also very close on paper (fight odds similar to Khabib vs Ferg)

The MMA community wasn't very sure of what to expect ...

And then this happened

Unbelievable

Conor's vs. Alvarez for me.

Nahh. Forrest was never an elite guy.

TJ vs Barao was more impressive.

It was a short notice fight

imo beating Forrest is no more impressive than GSP moving up and beating Bisping.

I think Bisping would have beat the shit out of forrest

When you take into consideration the extreme differences in striking ability it really wasn't that surprising. It was awesome to see though.

And who knows how many anabolic steroids were rushing through his system at that time? He was caught with 4 so I'm guessing at least 8.

so what do you say about Rampage and Shogun losing to Forrest?

Mcgregor vs Aldo imo 13 seconds to KO a dominant champion is hard to top.

Cain vs JDS 2

Knocked out in the first fight, then basically ended juniors career in the second fight

One of them. People like to discredit Forrest even though he was a very good fighter. That being said there was a striking skill disparity.

Dillashaw vs Barao is probably better.

Maybe not most impressive, but definitely one of my favourites. Anderson was just on another level that night (and most nights).

Cruz vs Mizugaki, came off a horrible injury and went ballistic on Mizugaki, finishing him within a minute and not even getting hit once.

Yes. You can disrespect Forrest all you want but it seemed like Forrest was picked up on the street with no experience. That’s how bad it looked

Anderson over Forrest was similar to Conor over Eddie.
Very good wins, very nicely done.

But the most impressive performance in UFC history goes to Todd New Breed Duffee, when he debuted, destroying an old breed fighter with techniques that we’d never seen before:

I don’t know if it’s true, but I heard he celebrated by eating a burrito and reading a little Sherdog.

I remember that fight, Cruz took him down and finished Takeya with some nice GnP. It was a good performance but not nearly as impressive as matrix-ing a 20 lbs heavier former champ

Yes.

In 100 years, that will be the most viewed piece of MMA from this era.
