Was Aldo vs Stephens a fight where the whole forum supported one guy?

Its very rare we have pretty much every poster want one guy to beat another and when that happens. The forum becomes a beautiful place. Would be horrible to see a legend like Aldo lose to a guy like Stephens

I was rooting for Jeremy. It was a slugfest and I didn’t want it to end yet.

Gutted for Jeremy right now. Pun unintended

Conor nuthuggers wanted him to lose to fit their "CONOR RUINED JOSE" narrative, despite putting on awesome performances after that loss against Edgar and now Stephens

Yes I've never rooted for Aldo until today. Stephens is a dirtbag it seems.

I'm just surprised no one posted the Conor KO Aldo gif yet after like 2 dozens thread.

Him losing would actually fit perfectly into the "Aldo was never good and out of his prime at UFC 194," narrative that Conor haters promote on this forum every day. I'm pretty sure it would be in a 'nuthuggers' best interest to support the person their favorite fighter made short work of.

you're absolutely nuts if you think this is anything close to "prime" Aldo.

His hands are better now, yes, he might even pack more power in them, but he is much less of a complete fighter than he used to be. He has slowed down considerably, his gas tank is in question, his body has been through almost a decade of competing at the highest levels of MMA.

Still, even on a downward slide, he is better than most of the division. That's how much better he was than everyone else at his peak.

I miss when Aldo was butchering everyone in WEC

Ive been a fan of Jeremy since that huge uppercut on some scrub

I was rooting for Jeremy. Nothing against Aldo, I've always liked him. It's just that his legacy is set.

Part of it I think when Aldo talked about his career ending soon. Think fans realized that its almost over and Aldo has been pretty cool through out his career.

Loss against edgar?

I dunno, I have been a fan of Aldo since he first showed up in the WEC. Never really liked Stephens, seems like a douche to me. Honestly a little disappointed in how well Jeremy did. I don't think he is a good enough fighter to really have been as much of a handful for Aldo as he was.

The first thing I realised is Aldo' s footwork isn't nearly what it use to be, he now stands in the pocket and tries to weave and counter with his head movement.

Aldo celebrating and nearly crying tears of joy is one of my fondest mma memories... respect!
