Conor nuthuggers wanted him to lose to fit their "CONOR RUINED JOSE" narrative, despite putting on awesome performances after that loss against Edgar and now Stephens
Him losing would actually fit perfectly into the "Aldo was never good and out of his prime at UFC 194," narrative that Conor haters promote on this forum every day. I'm pretty sure it would be in a 'nuthuggers' best interest to support the person their favorite fighter made short work of.
I miss when Aldo was butchering everyone in WECyou're absolutely nuts if you think this is anything close to "prime" Aldo.
His hands are better now, yes, he might even pack more power in them, but he is much less of a complete fighter than he used to be. He has slowed down considerably, his gas tank is in question, his body has been through almost a decade of competing at the highest levels of MMA.
Still, even on a downward slide, he is better than most of the division. That's how much better he was than everyone else at his peak.
