I still think ol' Joe is the only one with the ability to win the states the dems need to flip in order to unseat Trump.

I hope she legit thought she was native American.. Even then she dhouodnt have used it to get advantage the way she did. I'm the debates she comes off angry and on edge. Not really a fan of her demeanor, even if what she says outside of lunatic reparations is a B.

My mother's side of the family thought their dad was 25% native American. He wasn't. I understand the mistake.
 
Unlikely she really thought that---or that there was even a "family legend"---given there was nothing but lily whiteness in her DNA test. For 100s of years.

It's this common for White Americans? I always hear White Americans claim they have some native, irish,italian in them...maybe they are just making shit up to seem cooler?

Not so much with the others, but I've heard a lot of folks claim NA heritage over the years. Some who didn't look like there was any way that was possible actually had some, but I figured it was mostly BS. I have a buddy who I think is 1/16th (possibly an 8th, but I'm pretty sure it's 1/16th) and he looks like he could grow his hair longer, put on war paint and jump on a horse in a old western. Has since we were teenagers. So that also made me think most are full of it over the years.
But I don't know.

There was a good amount of mixing in the 17-1800's. My family wasn't saying it to be cool, because it wasn't cool 30-40 years ago lol. My uncle actually got adopted into a fkn tribe lol. He really looks part native. Dark, thick hair at 70 years old. I have high cheek bones. My aunt took a DNA test and it showed more Scottish tgan Ryan was exoected. She also has dark hair and brown eyes. Me and 5 of my kids have bright blue eyes. Only the last one does not.

But even after taking the test, she didn't get it. She thought that was proof, until everyone started making fun of her. She even briefly made it a campaign add out of it.

What kills me is that nobody on her team took her aside to explain that the DNA test didn't exactly mean what she thought it meant. They just let her humiliate herself.
