Noted Canadian lawyer, and political contributor for several major publications in Canada has recently wrote on his website regarding how we will see more politicians in in the great white north come under fire for sexual misconduct allegations. With the recent news of Ontario Premier candidate Patrick Brown and Liberal MP Kent Hehr stepping down amid allegations -- Kinsella suggests this is just the tip of the iceberg.

However, two sections of his recent blog stood out to me. This first is the suggestion that it is a "major player" in Canada politics:

"There are other men who are about to be exposed. Count on it. The media have been on their trail for many weeks. Once it gets through the editors – once it is okayed by the lawyers – other men will be going down. It is overdue. It is needed.

One of these men is very, very powerful. The stories have been known about him for three years. They are in affidavits, plural.

His name will shock you."

The second piece that I found most interesting comes from the comments section in the form of a reply by a reader named "matt." now this may just be someone sensationalizing for whatever reason, and ordinarily I would never give credence to a comment -- but this Matt person seems to have connections to Warren via legal colleagues and he had this to say when someone asked if Warren could share who the major play possibly is:
"Matt says:

If it’s the same person who I’ve been told has multiple sworn affidavits against him, you can’t get bigger in Canada. I know one of the people who’s signature is on one of the affidavits.

This person has told me the contents of the affidavits. Explosive doesn’t even begin to describe it. I will not repeat what I was told here because haven’t personally seen them, and even if I had, I don’t want to make legal trouble for Warren.

What I will say…… if they do get out, they will destroy this persons very carefully crafted public image and reputation"

Is this guy a politician? If so is he liberal or conservative?

If not a politician in what field is he famous?

Thanks"

"He likes themed socks."

Warren is claiming a major figure with (albeit grains of salt) others in the comments trying to shed some light on the possibility.

I'm not paying too much certainty in "matt's" contributions but there are only two major politicians in Canada who outwardly make a point of their love of theme socks -- the first being the most obvious:

The other is BC Premier John Horgan.

Now I know this is just very early speculation with no substance yet -- but Warren is a reputable source and the notion that prominent politicians, even head of the state could be in the cross hairs of the #metoo movement. The fact that it could be the Canadian champion of feminism just makes it deliciously hilarious

Wouldn't surprise me after Dykstra getting busted lately. My friend who worked for him is devastated.

The Dykstra allegations at the very least show parties are willing to back candidates to high level positions even if they heard rumors of allegations in the past.

Warren said these allegations were know to the person party for about 3 years -- so it should be interesting as to hear why parties continued to back these people

My guess is same reason boards back doctors or celebs when able; profit and advancement.

Lenny Dysktra, you bastard.

Want to win an election? Make an anonymous sexual assault claim against your opponent.

Done.

Carefully crafted image. That's a deliberately crafted description.

Interesting that he posted that at all, what do you think his purpose would be?
Is he letting people know he's the man with inside knowledge or something else?

Was checking out a link in the comment section the person said is very similar.

Not sure what his background is but he does seem to have some sort of connection with Warren -- he hasn't been refuted at least. Remember Kinsella is a life long Liberal, so if "matt" was trying to sensationalize to the capitalize to push a narrative, im assuming he'd get shut down

If Trudeau resigns, does the Liberal Party pick his replacement?

Justin turning out to be a perv seems too good to be true, so I'm not gonna put too much stock into this Matt character. It would fit perfectly though: male feminist "allies" are almost all a bunch of predatory creeper slimeballs, and he's probably the most die-hard male feminist in the universe.

We'll see how it goes. I have had a feeling for a while now that Jagmeet Singh is gonna get metoo'd at some point. Not sure if this will be his turn, but I think it will end up happening at some point.

Yes, but it most likely would force a no-confidence vote and the Governor General would call an election. Even with a majority government, people would demand their MP would vote for to pass it in a case that had JT pulled for sexual misconduct

So you're saying Canadian politics have mulligans.
Neat.

We've had 2 PMs resign in my lifetime, and one Premier of Ontario. And it actually worked in Ontario, the retards here voted the party in again (with a majority!) when they swapped one scumbag out for another.

edit: actually 2 Premiers, I forgot about Harris for a second there.

As we've seen, a sexual misconduct allegation is pretty much grounds for immediate throwing under the bus, so I have no doubt that you're right and that more than enough Liberals would vote to give him the boot. Has that ever happened before for any reason, a no-confidence vote in a majority?

I agree with it sounding too good to be true but I can't think of a prominent figure outside of either a Premier of Ontario, Alberta, BC or the PM.

Apparently the side rumor I've been reading up is that Justin is quite the philanderer, even with portraying the feminist family man.

Again this is all rumors, speculation and preambles to further releases -- but it's fun to guess.

I can't recall any that were in a majority government. Definitely none after the Trudeau one in 74'. But I can't see how the Liberals wouldn't be forced to vote for a no-confidence in a situation like this -- it would all be guarantee a conservative victory in 19/20'

How do you forget the common sense revolution?
