By far my favorite Dutch fighter, but also by far one of the hardest ones to support. Shit, everytime he steps in the Octagon I'm scared shitless for him. Which is not a very good sign. On that note he did handle Miocic very well. He has some great submission wins. And well, regardless who he fights, he's always in a war, win or lose. It would've been better if he started fighting in the UFC at a later age, the fact he's been in the org so long and he's still the youngest fighter in the top 15, that says a lot. Also, it seems just now it seems he's gaining mass, is doing proper power training. Looking at his old fights, it was blatent obvious every opponent was way stronger than he was, he won because of pure heart and the will of a warrior. I've seen them, it's like he won half of his UFC fights against all odds. Hoping he does well tonight. WAR STRUVE!
Struve's exciting as hell, hard to root against Big Nog though. Fight could go either way. If Struve wants to stay a factor in the division though he's got to be able to be 39 year old Nog. I know there's HW fighters around that age that do well but none that have taken the beatings Nog has.
I agree. Never in a boring fight. Huge amount of heart 'n balls. Likeable dude as well. I think he'll KO Nog in the 1st.
Struve is always on that razor edge, a hair's breadth from a thrilling win or a crushing defeat. I love watching his fights for that. Definitely cheering for him today.
119 posts and yellow carded. Job well done. Glad your words have no meaning after watching the fight. :icon_chee
