Hi Support.
I'm curious about how the mods determine whether certain discussion threads should be held in the War Room or Mayberry Lounge subforums. Here are a few examples from the first page of the War Room right now:
Homo naledi new species of human ancestor found.
The pit bull is not an inherently evil dog...
Lawyer accused of sexism over LinkedIn photo comment
IQ Gene vs. Environment. Question
I understand that these topics can potentially be tied to policy decisions, but the OPs don't strike me as expressly political in nature. I fully support keeping the religion and feminism threads in the War Room but I think keeping other "intelligent discussion" types of threads in the Mayberry could encourage cross-posting and bring up the (rather low) level of conversation in the latter right now.
Just a suggestion. If the intention is less about separating topics and more about allowing certain subgroups of posters to interact with each other in one place I can understand that too.
Thanks!
