Anthony Johnson is probably top 5 P4P wasted talent in MMA history.

Imagine if this guy had a solid training team, consistent diet regimen...

    He would have been unstoppable.

And speaking of Anthony's, you heard it here first boys.

Anthony Joshua will lose the rematch against pudgy Andy Ruiz

Which has a greater standard deviation, Rumble Johnson or Christian Bale?

Meh. He underperformed, but not that drastically. He trained with a good team, fought for the championship, etc. I don't think he showed any unusual flashes of greatness.

If he hadn't wasted years trying to make WW and MW I think his career trajectory would have looked far different.

Yeah, after the first Burns fight, his only losses were to Koscheck (who was a much better wrestler and outwrestled him), Vitor, and DC twice. He was the underdog in all of those fights except kind of the first DC fight (close odds and he might have finished as the favorite, but it was up and down). I don't know that he even underperformed. The weight jumping was weird. If he could have stayed at 170, he might have had an even better career, though maybe not. Wins over AA, Little Nog, Teixeira, Bader, Gus, Davis, and Hardy. That's a pretty fucking great career, IMO.

It's 40 minutes long, but please make time in your week to watch this video. It's about the process in which a normal person becomes radicalized by the alt-right. So much of it rings true about the people in this forum that its honestly a little disconcerting.

Yeah, lyrics are a bit of a grey zone in the "no slurs" rule. Your gay culture posts are also actually NSFW in my case, as is basically all of P&M, but that's mostly due to my employment situation.

Well, thanks for not carding me. I'm not making any more gay culture posts for the next seven months aside (wtf) from one-off type convos like the Jonny Quest and He-Man discussions. You know what happens in June though and you're gonna love the #PrideMonth thread, mate. Actually, you won't but It'll be entirely SFW High Culture.

    ;)

Agreed. The part at 18:40 to about 21:30 is so weirdly spot on, and clearly evident right here in the WR that it's more than a little disconcerting to me. If it were worth the time, you could find tons of posts showing it in action. Greoric is a defining example.

Yeah, as I was watching thru, I kept making mental check marks about what I'd seen around here, as well as some irl relations that became deeply right wing reactionary in ways I could not have imagined 10 years ago.

I like "politics as a set of affects, not a set of beliefs" (or something). Spot the fuck on.

You don't produce, consume, support or engage with it though. :( A hetero person could actually be a decent rep if they did that and also had a strong knowledge of history. It's inclusive like that and stuff.

Interesting, although the Neonazis/White nationalists/supremacists becoming less about organised geographic groups and more about online communities happened way before 2013 here, so I assume it happened earlier in the US as well.

Yeah, but this is more focused on chan culture, which got "political" around that time.
