I did just that. I made a long trek to visit her. We talked for a long time. At some point, we touched upon good v evil. I told her that I believe it is necessary for offspring to overcome their mothers. I then told her I forgive her for a particularly evil and long-running transgression from my childhood/early adolescence. As expected, she took it personally and tried to change the subject to my father. I did not allow her to do that. I made it clear that I was not blaming her. The spirit of evil overcame her and she could not help herself. I told her I loved her. Our relationship is strong.
