It just seems like too many Americans are ideologically broken...for lack of a better word. People seem to have been cleaved from a perception of their own interests, and it's not like this in the rest of the world. Most people elsewhere know where their bread is buttered. But on this board I can find a trades worker saying yellow dog contracts should be legal and right to work should be the federal law of the land. I think it's the result of decades of well-poisoning by the American right intelligentsia in the wake of the civil rights movement. I think it's been too successful to be reversed.

Even (perhaps especially) Libertarians are against the notion of the factual influencing policy. The american libertarian project - which in my understanding is the ideological underpinning of a neo-feudalist movement (check out Peter Thiel, for example) - is devoted to divorcing its adherents policy considerations from the results that are produced. This is what I mean when I say that people have been cleaved from their interests. People are to be convinced that to ask for a different set of rules isn't wrong on a policy level, it's immoral. The result is that, seemingly, the only unified group left with a class consciousness is the wealthy: the so called ''vulgar marxists'' as I think Mark Blyth put it.

OK, bad example, then. I'm just saying that a genuine ideology, even a bad one, doesn't necessarily obligate one to hold factually incorrect beliefs, and it's the widespread holding of factually incorrect beliefs along with beliefs that shield the holders from reality (liberal media, deep state, etc.) that is the real problem. You can have passionate, interesting, educational exchanges (even very heated ones) between people who disagree about what's good; but you really can't when people disagree about what's true.

In my experience the lead up to this kind of exchange is some of the people involved not knowing what a trade off is. They might have heard of the concept and it might have sounded intuitive, but when it comes to practice the concept escapes their minds entirely. Suddenly it's impossible that people make different choices than you because they derive more/less utility from any given path. Instead there objectively is right and wrong.

I've heard it has a ton of problems like almost every other live service type game has had at release. Anthem, Destiny come to mind.

I have enough friends that have it though I figure I COULD get some fun out of it by playing MP with them.

I have heard it’s repetitive dreck worst of the issues with the morp games.

Are you looking for games with big groups of friends or single player games?

Man, anyone still clinging to the belief that Kanye West is a low key genius or that he isn't a deluded dumbass is lost. And mental illness is not a cover. Bipolar disorder doesn't make a genius a moron. It just makes him a genius with bipolar disorder.

Either?

I have Witcher III and that new Final Fantasy game (15 I think?) dl'd I could run through.

But there's a small part of me too that feels like I might just take a break from gaming for a week or two.

I don't think Kanye has just a mental disorder. I think he legitimately has brain damage from his accident years ago.

No chance. Unless Graham suffers a gay prostitute scandal - which isn't entirely unlikely - he's got that seat locked up.

Tucker Carlson was blaming Graham for the new Woodward book and I'm hoping that sticks lol

There aren't many SC polls but they all show Trump up and outperforming Graham
