War of the Worlds (2005) is underrated IMO

I think the modern version could've used a bit of an update to the original ending. Or at least flesh it out better than they did. It was really abrupt, and cheapened the whole experience. I knew it was coming, but they really botched the execution.

Two hours of this intense alien invasion movie, all for it to wrap up with "The aliens got sick and died. The end."

Yeah but to be fair, nobody was ever going to outdo Futurama’s take on War of the Worlds
