War nelson!!!

He's really going to need to expand his striking repertoire in the future.
 
I know I'm a keyboard warrior, but I feel like Story could back Nelson into the fence and tee off on him. Story is playing into Nelson's "strength", fighting a distance finesse game, but he should make it a brawl. Nelson is like a fake Machida, he doesn't have that level of counter-fighting ability, nor much of a striking arsenal it appears.
 
This is a good fight. Gunnar has really good karate in and out striking, he doesn't get hit cleanly almost ever.

He's taking Rick Story's rock em sock em style away with his movement. I'd like to see Gunnar do some more of those brutal body kicks though.
 
Almost stopped him but I think Rick gassed himself out doing that flurry.
 
having john mccain teach you boxing is apparently not as good an idea as it first seemed. hopefully he learns to keep his hands up before his next outing, his defence has not been good, he's getting owned on the feet

Gunnar may indeed be related to Roy with that chin of his.

But he needs to drop to 155 ASAP. His striking is terrible, he needs to use it to survive while focusing on grapplefucking opponents, which he may be able to pull off at LW. I can't imagine Nelson trying to fight bigger and more effective fighters like Rory, Lombard, Hendricks, GSP, Woodley, etc. They would be massacres.
