Wanderlei Silva

I think so but he is in terrible shape.
Rampage fight was so sad to see. Just a plodding dad bod. I’m sure he knows his time is up. I wouldn’t even back him against zombie Liddell that turned up to fight Tito

As awful as he looked against Rampage, he looked like prime Tyson compared to Chuck against Tito

Yeah that was probably going to far. He still looked like he could throw leather against Chael the fight before that. Correcting myself here, Zombie Chuck is the only fight Id like to see him in. I think he forgets Bellator doesn’t have the same testing as UFC. The guy needs a good strength and conditioning coach who can recommend some good “supplements”

My favorite Wand moment is when he escorted Shogun to the ambulance after the hammer house/chute box brawl. Dude seemed so god damn scary telling everybody to back the fuck off lol.
You choo!

so awesome
The build up in the preceding minutes made it even better. They both landed several big shots and it was like they mutually agreed they might as well just get it over with and exchange until someone stayed down when put down

And so they did.

So many great memories.

Chasing Tito across the cage. Getting his eye completely shut against Henderson and winning. Kicking Yvel in the nuts. His massacre of Sakuraba the first fight when Sakuraba was king of MMA. Standing and trading bombs with K1 champion Mark Hunt who outweighed Silva by 60+ lbs. The greatest staredown in MMA history with Cro Cop. Leaving Rampage a bloody mess unconscious outside the ropes. Rape choke KO of Jardine.

The Stann fight was bananas.

Wanderlei had no business at that stage of his career going beserker and trading shots, but he said fuck it did it anyways and it paid off.

Stann also had no business in fighting like Wanderlei, but you could tell that pride, the crowd and being in a cage with Wanderlei impacted him and he also said fuck it and went for it.

One of them was getting blasted to another dimension.

One of the best fights of all time IMO. They both have my eternal respect for that fight.

His fight against Rampage 2003 was the best one

He actually faced a lot of Japanese grapples such as Hidehiko Yoshida, Kazuhiro Nakamura, Yuki Kondo etc

I would gladly see Wanderlei fighting Kevin Randleman back in the days. That would be interesting to see especially in round two when Randleman will start to gas.
