Life ban is crazy harsh, you're basically saying this guy can't make a living. He can't fight anywhere, he was going to sign with Bellator to do promotion work (not fight) but he's still under contract with the UFC so they wouldn't let him. I'm not say what he did was right by any means but life ban is too much.

I can't speak to the legal authority of all of these commissions and anti-doping agencies. In the long run, having them challenged is probably a good thing. I want strong anti-doping policies backed by legally defensible institutions.

In the world of pro-cycling, it has taken years and years to sort out a lot of the legal issues (although that was also complicated by having so many countries involved). However, that sport seems to have made a lot of progress. For example, Lance Armstrong originally tried to challenge USADA's legal authority, failed, and was banned.
