His fans(including me) loved him for the years not for win or lose, because of his violent style and fearless character, but he just made horrible thing and no doubt lost a lot of fans, horrible job by Wand...

People expected him to lose and always expected he was on PEDs. He should have just taken what was coming to him so at least he'd have his pride left.

Destroyed his legacy? That's stretching it a bit. Did he put a stain on it? Sure. Hes at the end of his career so I'm not going to let a potential failed drug test to tarnish his whole career.

    i don't care.

so far as i'm concerned, his best days ended about 6 or 7 years ago. yes, before the Chuck fight.

what do i care if shenanigans were pulled over half a decade after he became a non entity?

seriously. i am not joking. he's just a guy now. from 1998ish thru 2006ish he was more than that. it's 2014, people.

so many people are soooooo dramatic around here, i swear. it's like watching Gilmore Girls.

He has zero failed tests, saying such a thing is fighter bashing....better edit that out.

I don't think it tarnishes his whole career as much as just verifies what a lot of us already suspected. He needs to get one more fight, win, and then retire. I don't want him to go out like this. Train hard, piss clean, and win a fight. That's all he has left to accomplish in his career.

He should've retired off the Stann win.

This is true, The Axe Murderer ended the moment he fought Crocop the second time when that LHK crashed into his skull and put Wand out cold.

Since then, I haven't viewed him as the same fighter and was never impressed by anything he's done.

yes, because coleman, and guys like wanderlei werent on roids? it doesnt take a genious to see that when he joined the ufc he lost almost 20 pounds of muscle , coincidence? im not bashing him, i love vitor belfort but i acknowledge that he was probably on roids at one point. its not bashing at all

edited: to make pride instead of entire career to stop your salivating anger at me

    Exactly

ya'll crybabies need to stop with the big talk AT LEAST until something's official/proven.

Many have been caught with illegal substances

Many others used legally performance enhancing TRT, Sonnen too

Wanderlei has never been proven to take shit

    Stfu already

I hear you TS, nothing bad to say for everything he's done in the sport of MMA but this one is disappointing big time. Not really mad at the guy, just disappointed.

He tried hard though to hype up their fight, just decided not to show up.

Pretty ironic how Chael constantly ask him, "will you show up? give me a date etc.."

Truer words have never been spoken. Its like all Wandelei's haters popped up today and decided to each make a thread

    Fuck off with this bullshit

This guy along with Fedor and a few others DEFINE MMA.

He was fun to watch back in PRIDE but now he's just a dinosaur. The fact that a fight like Sonnen Silva even got as much promotion it did was a joke.

his legacy pretty much was built by being on roids and assaulting small japanese men, though

No, he didn't. His legacy is cemented like Fedor's, Anderson's and GSP's.

If you were a true fan of his you would know that.
